Boycott CBL

CBL is one of the largest mall REITs in the United States and owns, holds interests in or manages 159 properties including 95 enclosed malls and open-air centers from coast to coast. CBL is an active developer of new regional malls, open-air centers, lifestyle and community centers.  It is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol, “CBL”. The company’s 2012 revenue was $1.08 billion.

You can find a list of their shopping malls on their website or click through the map below.

Guns are banned in all CBL Malls.  They make no secret of this policy and it can be found in the Code of Conduct for any and every mall right from the malls’ home pages.  The code of conduct does not appear to vary from one mall to the other, regardless of state.

See line #20 in the CBL “Code of Conduct.

“20. Carrying or displaying weapons of any kind except those carried by certified law enforcement officers in the performance of their duties.”

Interestingly enough they do not know about the Second Amendment because at the bottom of their “Behavioral Code of Conduct” they state the following:

“This ‘Behavioral Code of Conduct’ is not intended to deprive any person of their applicable civil rights or liberties under the law.  If you feel your rights are being violated, please notify the mall management office.”
With that, we’d like to encourage you notify them that your 2nd Amendment Rights are being violated, and that until they respect your rights you will not visit their malls.

  1. Have to call out the irony. CBL owns/operates a Chattanooga location named Gunbarrel Pointe that disallows guns.

  2. alot of things are wrong about the way they run these cbl malls. Mangers are letiing some companies to dominate the market. I tried to open a store with them every single time they played with me. They made such a contract with Brow art23 saying that if they are in their mall no other party is wellcomed to do the same bussines. I call this monopoly. No wonder Mall bussineses are going down. Lousy property managers.
