In addition to our own research Second Amendment Check has decided it is worth sharing the work of others.  Therefore, we are sharing the NRA-ILA’s lists of:

“Anti-Gun National Organizations”

“Anti-Gun Corporations/Corporate”

“Anti-Gun Publication and Media Outlets”

“Anti-Gun Individuals & Celebrities”

At Second Amendment Check we always attempt to source our material in our quest to provide objective and credible information.  Again, these lists have been compiled by the NRA-ILA, whom we recognize as a credible source of information.  Having said that, the exact criteria for making it onto the list are unclear, and the claims of being “Anti-Gun” have not been independently verified or validated by Second Amendment Check.

Also, after having had these lists published on their public website for many months, they have been removed after receiving some recent attention in the alternative media.  As noted in the Feb 11, 2013 update in this this Huffington Post article, the NRA-ILA has quietly removed the list from their website, but it can still be found in a web archive from January.  The reason for the removal of this list is not yet known.  Speculation suggests that the NRA ILA didn’t want to call unwanted attention to itself, or perhaps that it is reassessing or updating that list.  Second Amendment Check will attempt to get to the bottom of this mysterious disappearance.

NRA ILA List of Anti’s:

The following organizations have lent monetary, grassroots or some other type of direct support to anti-gun organizations. In many instances, these organizations lent their name in support of specific campaigns to pass anti-gun legislation such as the March 1995 HCI “Campaign to Protect Sane Gun Laws.” Many of these organizations were listed as “Campaign Partners,” for having pledged to fight any efforts to repeal the Brady Act and the Clinton “assault weapons” ban. All have officially endorsed anti-gun positions.

  1. i have to agree on this

  2. Very pathetic statement that guns are designed to kill people. Just as a can of beer or bottle of booze is designed to make people drunk to get in their vehicles and run down people and kill them. I’m so damn glad Trump made president that I had a beer the next day. No, I didn’t pull my glock out and shoot anybody or have too many beers but I celebrated our God given right to bear arms and keep that right by voting for Donald Trump. It’s about time that the Patriots took control of America once again. We need our children to learn that safe handling of guns and the use to protect there selves and family is necessary instead of being sheep and letting the Democratic wolves prey on them their entire life. Thank God for this country finally getting their heads out of their asses and voting while sober for a change.

  3. Pretty pathetic that 90% of the actors on the anti gun list make their living using those very guns to stack bodies up on the big screen. Shooting, blowing up and defending with those very guns they are against the American people carrying to defend themselves with. Hypocrites.

    • I think we conservative constitution following folks should boycott those liberal idiots. We buy half of their product….yet they come out against us.
      Hurt them in the wallet…

  4. these people that want gun control are they pro life or pro choice?

  5. I support and have joined the NRA. 5 million strong!

  6. Paul Colapietro

Hey Larry…. What happened…… Trump is President!!!! Are you going to be like the others and say they are going to leave the country too. I’m sure like the others on here we will pay a one way trip to anywhere you want as long as you don’t come back. The Second amendment is here to stay. Legal sportsmans rights are here to stay. Would you like a pistol permit application? Oops I’m sorry you won’t be here. Good luck with your future endeavors. Be safe and live with denial that yes this really did happen. The people have spoken and yet again you Were Wrong. Ciao

  7. The difference is guns are designed specifically to kill. Duh.

    • My shotgun is very nicely designed to shoot trap and my .22 is specifically designed to shoot competitive target. Neither are designed to kill unless you give the liberty of life to paper and clay. If guns are designed to kill, cars must be designed for vehicle homicide.

  8. I have taken basically the same poll by yougov.. in it the question is asked should assault weapons be banned.. i answer no, based on my knowledge that it relates to Semiautos.. at the end of the poll is a place for feedback.. I tell them there already is a ban on assault weapons, the question should be Assault style or looking.. the next gun control poll comes out the same question is there and again I repeat the same thing.. so how can the poll be fairly subjective if they use the wrong question and or phrase..? the cant..

  9. 2nd Amendment….The right of the people!!! Where else does it say the right of the people in the bill of rights? Does it mean individual or any form of a group?

First, you cannot purchase an assault weapon, an assault weapon has a detachable magazine and a selectable rate of fire ( pull the trigger once and it keeps firing until you let go or you run out of bullets) you cannot purchase this weapon. What they are using is a very scary looking semi- automatic rifle. You do not need a Gun to take the lives of a lot of people at once ( Bath, Michigan 1927) I use that one a lot

These are FBI numbers & rough numbers at a yearly average. 33500 total firearm deaths per year. 19000 suicide by firearm, 41000 total suicides (so most suicides don’t use a firearm) if you want to die you will find a way. So that means you have 14500 firearm deaths remaining. Law enforcement is responsible for around 1,000 per year. There are 16000 homicides per year (including justifiable) of those 16000… a gun is used 10,000 times. of those 16000 homicides, over 11,000 were committed by a felon. In which case they are not to even own a gun. 6000 homicides are committed without a firearm. It has also been proven that a citizen has a better chance of protecting themselves then waiting for the police. There is an average of 3500 fire arm deaths that include accidental (about 1000), justifiable, domestic violence( in which case I believe if your gonna kill your spouse, you’ll find a way). if there are 400,000,000 guns in the US each gun has a 0.0000825 chance of killing someone. It comes down to the person. 318,000,000 people in the US. People are way more dangerous than the gun. If someone wants you dead they will find a way to do it. 6000 homicides are done without a gun. 10000 with. If there was no gun how many would be killed anyway. The truth, probably more than half. Guns are not the problem. You will never reverse the second amendment in this country, period. How about keeping Guns out of the criminals hands…. Never. Do you know how easy it is to build a zip gun. Or use a knife or how about Bath, Michigan. (look that up) Mental issues need to be addressed and our criminal justice system. Take a look at the average time they get for killing someone. Insane. It’s Not the gun. Grow up people use your head. Ps… I don’t care about my spelling or my math. I was typing to fast. (So don’t think you are perfect because you aren’t) And my data came from the FBI. So argue with them. Another thing……How many times has a gun saved someone’s life? Mine? Yes. You will never stop every wrongful shooting. How many times have women used a firearm to keep from being sexually assaulted or worse!!
I am a gun owner and I am also a father and grandfather and I know what our country’s children should mean to each and everyone of us. They are more important than you or I, and they and many other innocent people are dying everyday. If you lost one of your own, how would you feel? I would like to add this… Every single life is precious and is most important in any discussion, but so are present and future lives, the numbers do not make sense.
Close to 3000 shooting victims in Chicago in 2015, with one of the strictest gun control laws in the country…..
    It’s not working

It is not the gun people! So you believe that a piece of metal is the problem?

Why do police carry them? PROTECTION

    Think about it!

    • Very well said Joe! People blame guns for killing and not the person, but they don’t blame the vehicle when a drunk driver kills someone they blame the person what’s the difference?

      • to own and drive a vehicle you need to pass a test and carry a licence since you are in control of a deadly weapon – but er guns ? er no, help yourself – the rest of the world is looking at america and thinking – YOU ARE THE DEFINITION OF THE DARWIN AWARDS – fuckwits

        ditch the guns you idiots

        • but kara….when youre in control of a vehicle you are on public roads with others….and the roads are paid by taxpayers.
When you have a gun…you are not necessarily in public.

Furthermore…you have a little problem with our constitution. You dont like it…move to one of the countries you think are so great without guns. Try Iraq or the Congo…they are safe…

You are the definition of an idiot. You cant see the forest for the trees.

  10. I’m a college student and I’m writing a persuasive speech on how gun-control is bad. My professor tried to tear me down so I wouldn’t talk about this. Thanks for this list, I now have lots of ammunition for my speech.

    • I was a correctional officer in Illinois for twelve years the prisons are over crowded with murders who got their guns on the street and a lot of murderers didn’t use guns what they did would give you nightmares! Gun laws are only for those who obey the law gun grabbers don’t understand the criminal mind! I’ve seen murderers get out of prison and come right back to prison there are several cases where the bleeding heart liberals let these evil people out early only to take another life how about stricter sentences where these people never get out of prison instead of targeting lawful gun owners because criminals don’t care about laws or they wouldn’t be criminals!

    • Alex,
Here are two reasons why gun control isnt the right way…and why its not working and never will.

      1. All gun control laws are unconstitutional. No where in the constitution or the second amendment does it mention banning assault weapons….magazines can only hold 5 rounds…etc. Furthermore, the constitution does say…. All laws in conflict with the constitution are null and void.
      2. Definition of a criminal: Criminal is one who does not follow the common laws that others follow, rather they live outside those laws. Gun laws are some of those laws that criminals do NOT follow. Therefore, the only people that follow the gun laws are law abiding citizens like you and I. You and I are not causing problems with guns….therefore gun laws dont work.

We should instead be focusing on criminals.

  11. We’ll let’s wait a couple of weeks for the Clinton White House and we’ll see what we can do about that…

    • They can’t do anything to take our gun or they would have! these arguments are useless! But for arguments sake lets say they try just going by hunting licenses sold in America not counting sport shooters, concealed carry only, and collectors the hunters alone could amass the largest army in the world! Do we want it to come to that! Those who don’t learn from history are destined to repeat it!

    • sucks for you lib tards, killary didn’t get it….good thing too, you guys just stomp your feet an cry, WE THE PEOPLE would have marched to WAR, to keep our right to bear arms….That you best believe!!!! I as an American will never hand my guns over to anyone( including our government) you will have to kill me first…

    • Failed argument…..Trump is in and gun owners outnumber grabbers by 50 to 1.

    • ohhhhh booo hoooo Larry….
Trump won….surprise surprise….ooops. Now i wonder who will be in the supreme court.

  12. for all you would be constitutionalists….read it again, and especially the Second Amendment..
It must be referred to, interpreted and understood as it was at the time it was written. The constitution is NOT a living document intended to be interpreted with the times. There is a built in mechanism to change our constitution if some part is needing change…
All you lefties think you can just interpret it how you want. Not gonna happen. Call a convention.

  13. well to do so would be a treasionious act .

i and many others would be the first to want to vote you time in jail for that. .

the articals main point is the author says its more a crime control issue .

  14. The author writes: “The U.K. has gone the farthest in restricting the private ownership of guns. Shotguns and rifles are only permitted to those who can pass through an arduous police-administered licensing process, and after the 1996 massacre in Dunblane, Scotland, ownership of handguns was prohibited. But the U.K.’s policy could not work in the U.S. because we have a Constitution, we have a Second Amendment, and we have a Supreme Court decision that guarantees the right of Americans to keep and bear arms in their home for lawful purposes. So we cannot have a prohibition of private ownership of firearms.”

So, we cannot duplicate the UK’s highly effective restrictions and save countless American lives because of our antiquated Second Amendment. We
    Need to chage that.

  15. A good article on why gun controls does not work in the USA.

  16. The person who believes that owning a firearm is necessary for their personal safety is in my opinion a coward. It is nothing but fear that is driving the proliferation of weaponry, fear amongst the credulous citizenry and the greed of arms makers and dealers.

    • I own several guns I always have I grew up in the outdoors hunting was a big part of that! I’m not a coward at all I’m a good size feller, but carrying a firearm is to protect not only myself and my family, but also the innocent would be victims who can’t protect themselves! I was a correctional officer for twelve years in Illinois and I guarantee you can not comprehend what people are capable of doing to each other without guns! Anti gunners need to spend some time alone with some of those sweethearts and get educated to the criminal evil minds that walk among us!

    • So it makes me a coward if I want to own a gun to protect myself from someone who kicks in my door at 2am prepared to kill me and my family? Is a woman a coward who wants to own a gun to use against a violent sexual attack if need be? Is the small business owner in a bad part of town a coward who knows people have been getting ambushed and brutally attacked recently walking to their car after close? Give me a break, libtard.

    • is that your opinion of George Washington…Ben Franklin too?
      Were they cowards?

They wrote our constitution the way it is so the people would never be the servant to the government. Believe me….if we are ever unarmed…we will be the servants.

  17. No such thing as gun “rights”. They take away from our right to life. I have been against guns since before Columbine . Nobody fooled me into it .. hate guns and will fight against them. Your move Larry

    • No, criminals do. You don’t disarm the law abiding citizen so that he cannot defend himself from the criminals that will obtain guns no matter what regulations or restrictions that are placed on them, and leave him helpless. You give him a way to protect himself and level the playing field.

    • i have a great idea Rob…
There are countries that have no second amendment….
ill buy you a one way ticket if you promise to never come back

  18. In my book Gunsense Nation and on my podcasts on iTunes which is America Views from the Left I discuss the lies spread by the pro gun movement. Guns destroy this nation and we must keep fighting against the 2nd amendment

    • It was individuals with guns that rose up to fight the tyranny of an abusive government and died to give you the soil under your feet. Think about the freedoms we fought for. Thats why some bright founding fathers wrote it into the constitution. YOU are just a sheep in a wolfs world. Move to Australia and stop whining!

    • You book must have tanked because I can’t find a review or a single copy sold. No best sellers list for you? So sad. Must be your repulsive opinions and ideas on guns. Guns don’t have the power to kill, injure, or maim without a willing person to pull a trigger. For instance do you blame yourself for a book that didn’t sell or the pencil that you used to write it with? What about those that are convinced to kill themselves over social media? Was it the computer, “the bully,” or the dead dude?

One day in your life you will be thankful for a good person with a firearm.

  19. It’s “you’re” Corey

  20. People like L@$$Y (wont say the name but we all know who I’m talking about) like to point the finger say it’s not the person doing it. The gun did it not me. Say that to a cop or in the court of law see how well that holds up. The DA will look at you and say this person actually thinks the gun just walked down the street and started spraying bullets all on its own.
By the way guys the above mentioned person. Are you sure the persons name is L@$$Y not Hillary. As you can see all the BS she is selling is catching up to her. Karma is a real Bit(h.

  21. No, actually guns kill people. Reduce access to guns = fewer gun deaths. Simple.

    • Yes, fewer gun deaths. However, this will not stop the criminals. They will find other means, and good guys will still die at the same rate or higher. They may use a less efficient method of killing but the good guy won’t have it to protect himself either. They will only substitute guns with knives, bats, swords, chains, etc. Cars kill just as many people as guns, should we reduce access to cars?

      • you have to pass a test and have a licence to have a car – that argument doesn’t work… sorry

        “Yes, fewer gun deaths.”

great, you accept gun control will lead to fewer HUMAN BEINGS DYING

“However, this will not stop the criminals. ”

        who said it does ?

at what point is the us going to realise that their gun argument is like a temper tantrum child who wont let go of his teddy…

grow up america before you are all darwin award winners

the point is that arming every citizen of the untied states and making it legal for you to shoot each other on a multiple daily basis makes you lot look like fucking idiots but i guess actually the rest of the world is looking on with sheer amusement as you all slowly shoot yourself in the foot

(hint: look at other countries statistics re ownership of guns and er deaths, it might help… just saying…)

  22. Was sad that my name wasn’t there , I am blocked by the NRA on Facebook and Twitter after all. Oh well, perhaps when my #gunsense book comes out I will be on their enemy list. It would be an absolute honor.

    • That’s because no one has ever heard of you. In a sea of idiotic anti-gunners, you are but a speck of sand. Lol at you for thinking anyone cares.

    • A book written by you would be full of misinformation handed to you by the Demcoratic left. If you actually had real facts from a legitimate source you would wake up and support the 2nd Amendment, denouce the Democratic agenda of disarming the population and burn what you have all ready written. It is sad when people believe lies, but look at Hillary’s campaign, based on lies and the voters are only just beginning to wake tomthe fact. Thank you !

    • I sure hope so , Because a piece of shit like you really needs to be known to the gun range. Sorry you like that coward. My hope you get your wish

  23. Sylvia D Copp and Wendy L. Allen

We can’t believe how many hypocrites there are in Hollywood! So many of these people have made big bucks touting guns and using them in their TV shows and movies, Sylvester Stallone! Yet when it comes down to the American Bill of Rights and the Second Amendment, they would rob us of the right to keep and bear arms to protect ourselves and our families from armed thugs and maybe as in 1776 a tyrannical government! If you vote for nothing else this coming election America, vote because the next president will determine whether the Second Amendment stays in our Constitution or is obliterated by some pompous anti-gunner Supreme Court Justices which they will appoint! As for us and ours, we believe in gun control, “We hit what we aim at”!!! By the way, if worse comes to worse, we’ll surrender our guns, ‘One bullet at a time’!!! Now put that in your marijuana pipe and smoke it!!!

  24. No thank you. Instead, let’s just move forward making new laws that reflect the needs of the time just as we have been doing for 239 years now.

    • one problem with your theory Larry…the constitution.

The constitution is NOT a living document Larry. It means and is to be interpreted the same way it was the day it was written.
      You want proof?

The constitution has in it a method to legally revise it….called a constitutional convention.
so your make more laws theory wont hold up in the CONSERVATIVE Supreme Court….

  25. Sorry, I don’t understand NRA speak. Can someone out there translate this from gibberish to English?

    • OK Larry. Here it in Ennglish. My guns are keeping you safe. If you make gun ownership illegal for LAW ABIDING citizens, who would obey the law, then only the criminals, who do not obey the law would have guns. Then who do you think would win?

      • the rest of the world has a slight issue with that argument – in that er the rest of the world has gun control and er not the problems – it seems only americans are stupid enough to believe that bullshit which is why they continue to argue for less control and are happy to have more gun deaths… go figure

        • ade…we law abiding Americans could care less what the rest of the world thinks.
If you like it so much better there…..feel free to pack your $hit and leave and stay gone.

    • Ok…here you go Larry….

  26. david trembley

larry i dought you intend to insult gun owners in general but you are so stop that its not nice right or warrented. shame on you

  27. What an insane number of guns in our society. This clearly shows how big the problem is and how guns, gun owners and the NRA are responsible for so many unnecessary gun deaths in our country. Let’s all work together to pass more gun control legislation to get this unnecessary problem under control.

    • Joseph Cameron

You sir are so ignorant to the facts it isn’t funny. You blame gun owners and the NRA for gun deaths. Do you know how many women have used ( not necessarily firing)
A gun to prevent a rape? Or how many times s year a firearm is used to prevent crime? Or how concealed carry or open carry has reduced violent crime across this country. If you don’t get that, look it up by location ( per city or county) Do you blame the automobile or the alcohol that killed 3 members of my family or just maybe was it the drunk driver who had three previous charges and did not have a license to drive at the time. GROW UP, if you think you will stop guns from entering this country, you are lost.
There is such disconnect with reality that people just do not understand. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. I have spent countless days and have done my own real research.
      Firearms save lives, period.

    • Wow this clown don’t have a clue, I believe you are nothing more then a trouble making troll.

    • Larry, what you are suggesting will only make those deaths rates go up. Criminals don’t care about the law and they will continue to have guns to murder the innocent. It’s obvious what you’re suggesting is to leave the good guy defenseless. The NRA is not responsible for these murder rates if you want to blame someone blame the far left liberals because they’re the ones who are actually responsible for promoting violent crimes.

    • Larry,
The problem isn’t guns, or the availability of guns, it’s people.
If you have two people mad at each other, and one or both have guns, the problem is the people are mad, not the guns. Remove the people (being mad/remove anger), and you just have someone or both with guns (no intent to kill/harm).
Remove the guns from the above problem, and the people still have the intent to kill/harm.
See why it’s the person, and not the gun?
That’s what is meant by “guns don’t kill people, people kill people”.

  28. These are FBI numbers & rough numbers at a yearly average. 33500 total firearm deaths per year. 19000 suicide by firearm, 41000 total suicides (so most suicides don’t use a firearm) if you want to die you will find a way. I would like to add this… Every single life is precious and is most important in any discussion, but so are present and future lives, the numbers do not make sense.
Close to 3000 shooting victims in Chicago in 2015, with one of the strictest gun control laws in the country…..don’t be an idiot!
    It’s not working.

    One more thing
An assault rifle is a fully automatic selective-fire rifle that uses an intermediate cartridge and a detachable magazine
In a strict definition, a firearm must have at least the following characteristics to be considered an assault rifle:

It must be an individual weapon
It must be capable of selective fire
It must have an intermediate-power cartridge: more power than a pistol but less than a standard rifle or battle rifle
Its ammunition must be supplied from a detachable box magazine
And it should have an effective range of at least 300 metres (330 yards)
Rifles that meet most of these criteria, but not all, are technically not assault rifles, despite frequently being called such.

    For example:

Select-fire M2 Carbines are not assault rifles; their effective range is only 200 yards.
Select-fire rifles such as the FN FAL battle rifle are not assault rifles; they fire full-powered rifle cartridges.
Semi-automatic-only rifles like variants of the Colt AR-15 are not assault rifles; they do not have select-fire capabilities.
Semi-auto rifles with fixed magazines like the SKS are not assault rifles; they do not have detachable box magazines and are not capable of automatic fire.
The U.S. Army defines assault rifles as “short, compact, selective-fire weapons that fire a cartridge intermediate in power between submachine gun and rifle cartridges

The 9mm is by far the most common caliber used in homicides. Used in a pistol.
All calibers and in any form of a rifle does not even come close to this number.

    Look at medical malpractice deaths.

Take a long hard real look at the numbers, do your own real research. Think for yourself!

With suicides, do you think if someone wants to die they will find a way!

It is not the gun people! So you believe that a piece of metal is the problem?

Why do police carry them? To protect themselves and others!
    Think about it!

    • Great post!
liberals wont let facts get in the way of their philosophy though….just saying.

    • One other point though….
i think George Washington would agree….his single shot musket was his assault weapon…

Notice that the liberals will not put a definite definition on assault weapon?
What do you suppose the reason is for that? hahahahaha

  29. Criminals have guns because guns are EVERYWHERE and easily obtained. That can be fixed.

    • Nope. Impossible.

    • To do that Larry…you would have to outlaw: steel pipe, machine shops, most common household cleaners and ingredients.

For i can take a piece of plumbing pipe, some common chemicals and make a rifle.
Soooooo…how easily can that be fixed again?

You truly know not of what you speak….

  30. Anthony Thursby

I feel like I might need to clarify the second amendment, it does not say we have a right to semiautomatic firearms, nor to explosive devices, and tons of ammo. But, it does state that the people have a God given right to be armed adequate to the federal military, and that it shall NOT be infringed. So, with this new information on display, we should be armed with military grade firearms to ensure the checks and balances of our government, not to hunt, not to protect from thieves, but to check the government. Even if we are not armed to federal military grade, we should still have the ability to resist the government to keep them in check.

    • Anthony,
The constitution is void of specifying any type or limit on guns and ammo for a particular reason….the framers didnt want language that could be used against the people later…they knowing that things would change in the future.
Therefore…any gun control law passed….ANY and ALL gun laws are unconstitutional.

any law in direct conflict of the constitution is null and void.

  31. Interesting. So this blog should be restricted to only the poor sheep who blindly follow the NRA propaganda that is funded by the gun manufacturer’s blood money. NRA members seem so fearful of big government and big business yet you are the foot soldiers of these profit motivated corporations…like puppets on a string. No other points of view should be heard? Not the sensible points of view of the majority of Americans you live among? Is free speech important to you? So much for your respect for constitutional rights.

    • So just what is the percentage of gun owners in the United States that have used a gun to kill a person, just for the sake of killing? I will make you a promise, I will fully support gun control, as soon as that percentage has passed the 50% mark!!

    • You just keep spewing your ignorance, it’s real simple, this is the USA and if you don’t like our constitution then move to another country. Now see how easy that is, even you should be able to understand that.

    • Larry…
you are welcome here. Make no mistake though…your right to speak and think is compliments 100% to the second amendment….and good folks that own guns.

  32. Governor Brown signs yet another gun safety law in California the 6th in the last month. Fantastic!

  33. Larry prob thinks an ar 15 has more kinetic energy than a .223

  34. Perfect examples. If we had no speed limits or laws against drunk driving the number of deaths would be many times greater. More gun control laws = fewer gun related deaths. Simple and undeniable.

    • Charles Evans

So I take it that stricter laws are working wonders in Chicago oh wait they have one of the highest if not the highest homicide rates in the country oops guess its working real well

    • Michael Meador

More gun control = more defenseless victims.

    • Very bad example Larry. You don’t have a constitutional right to speed or drive drunk. You do however have a constitutional right to keep and bear arms. I’d really like to know how you think more gun control = less firearm related deaths. Criminals are so well known for obeying the law right? Fully automatic weapons have been banned since the 1930′s and criminals can still easily get ahold of them. All stricter gun control does is limit innocent civilians from protecting themselves and their families. The world is a messed up place with messed up people, and we deserve the right to protect ourselves and out families from criminals and an oppressive government. Now might be a good time to pull your head out of your ass

    • Larry…

      …but it is deniable .

No law abiding citizens carrying and owning guns = MORE criminals killing innocent law abiding citizens.

You see criminals dont follow laws…thats why we call them criminals. So applying your theory all the way through with reality….gun laws make it hard for law abiding people to have guns and protect themselves. The criminals dont care…laws…no laws…they follow their own law.

Your philosophy is idiotic and truly flawed.

  35. “Yes we have high gun death rates”…great to see someone else on here admitting the sobering facts. Let’s do something concrete to lower it! Thank you Ed!

    • Charles Evans

We also have high traffic deaths lets do something about like speed limits oh wait yeah thaws right we have them. Lets also make drinking and driving illegal nobody will ever drink and drive again oh wait there is a law and they still do it you see the pattern here

  36. “200 million guns and 12 trillion rounds of ammo”…thanks for so clearly illuminating the problem!

    • Only problem I see here, is that ignorant a***wipes like you are on here talking about a subject they know nothing about.

  37. Hello my fellow freedom loving brothers and sisters!

I recently joined the NRA a few months ago after years of procrastinating and now wish I had done so sooner in light of these new anti-gun, anti-freedom laws that moonbeam signed a couple weeks ago. This was a serious blow to our 2nd Amendment rights.

Just as I procrastinated in joining the NRA, I’m sure there are many more like minded individuals who are still procrastinating. The single reason that took me so long to join was that I thought that after doing so I would constantly be inundated with phone calls & emails asking for donations, which turns out is not the case. I’ll receive an email every so often, but not what I expected. This should be communicated to those we encourage to join the NRA as this may help them to make the decision, take action and join in support.

The NRA is the 2nd Amendment’s most powerful advocate and they need all the support possible to help us prevent the anti-gun, anti-freedom movement from advancing. We will continue to lose ground if we fail to act.

Even as we continue to lose ground, there will be many freedom loving brothers and sisters that will continue to procrastinate and withhold from joining and supporting the NRA for various personal reasons.

It’s with this realization that I’ve decided to donate to the NRA, 50% of the proceeds from the sale of my “Preserve Freedom” T-shirts. I believe this is a great way for those who wish to show and and support freedom whether you are an NRA member or not.

We need all the support we can get!

    God Bless America!

  38. …speaking of limited “knolage”…

    • Larry….thats typical of a libtard like yourself.

you have no game…no valid points or facts…
so you criticize based on a persons spelling…

  39. Davida Michaele

a single action revolver .. NOT a single shot ..guys this person has limited knolage of arms they think its adiquite for them so sence in argueing the situation there not looking at the same possabilities of need the rest of the semi auto croud does.. let it slide.

  40. I now know this is a made up list because some of those celebrities have actually come out in favor of right to carry. I own a single shot revolver and a 12guage double barrel coach gun. Thats all you need. If you need a hundred bullets fired in a few seconds to kill something then you probably shouldn’t even have a gun. Theres a big difference between being anti gun and supporting gun control. Anti gun is you hate guns altogether. Supporting gun control just means you dont.want idiot’s running around with semi automatic rifles gunning down kindergartners.

    • Actually mine is a single shot revolver because you have to cock it everytime you want to shoot it so thats a single shot revolver. First off it would depend on whatkind of people they are. If they are child molester’s pimps outlaw bikers then yes i would gun them down and i wouldnt need a bazooka or a hundred bullets a second to do it.

      • You damn right id kill any pimp that force women and little girls into prostitution. And honestly id cut their hearts out and show it to them so they can see how black it is before they died. If you wouldnt then its you who are unhinged. And i meant a single action. So sorry that was my mistake.

  41. No, just the things we don’t need or want. Guns are at the top of the list.

  42. If our kids were being killed by fires in their school because we we’re selling teddy bears filled with jet fuel to our children we would simply stop doing that. Let’s stop selling guns…lethal toys for adults.

    • Using your logic. We should take away cars Cars kill people more than guns. While were at it we should take away knives. We should take away anything that could be made into a weapon. Plumbing supplies too because it could be made into an IED.

    • Larry, exactly! We are adults, not children so it is our own responsibility to decide if we want guns or don’t want guns and to make sure we don’t kill other people or break laws and end up in jail or dead!

    • You are so full of it I can’t believe you even on here !

    • Wow, what an amazing comparison. Firearms vs Napalm stuffed toys.

Did your parents drop you on your head as a child?

    • …and yet….we keep buying cars.
How many are killed by guns each year? Cars?
Please reconcile your ‘saving lives by outlawing guns’ philosophy for me Larry

  43. Paul Colapietro

This is so very true. Words to live by

We know that the sheep live in denial; that is what makes them sheep. They do not want to believe that there is evil in the world. They can accept the fact that fires can happen, which is why they want fire extinguishers, fire sprinklers, fire alarms and fire exits throughout their kids’ schools. But many of them are outraged at the idea of putting an armed police officer in their kid’s school. Our children are dozens of times more likely to be killed, and thousands of times more likely to be seriously injured, by school violence than by school fires, but the sheep’s only response to the possibility of violence is denial. The idea of someone coming to kill or harm their children is just too hard, so they choose the path of denial.

The sheep generally do not like the sheepdog. He looks a lot like the wolf. He has fangs and the capacity for violence. The difference, though, is that the sheepdog must not, cannot and will not ever harm the sheep. Any sheepdog who intentionally harms the lowliest little lamb will be punished and removed. The world cannot work any other way, at least not in a representative democracy or a republic such as ours.

Still, the sheepdog disturbs the sheep. He is a constant reminder that there are wolves in the land. They would prefer that he didn’t tell them where to go, or give them traffic tickets, or stand at the ready in our airports in camouflage fatigues holding an M-16. The sheep would much rather have the sheepdog cash in his fangs, spray paint himself white, and go, “Baa.”

Until the wolf shows up. Then the entire flock tries desperately to hide behind one lonely sheepdog.” – Lt. Col. Grossman -

  44. What a coincidence…I just toured Auschwitz-Birkenau today. Genocide is a terrible think. But, it is silly to use references to world war as a crutch to thwart basic common sense domestic gun control efforts. Very different things.

    • Jennifer Knight

      Kyew, who woulda thunk it?
The genocide countries to which you refer prevented the innocent from having guns.
The evil, the twisted, and the sick still had access to weapons.
      Yeah, who woulda thunk it?

    • I heard a survivor of the Nazi death camps say never give up your guns cause the second you do like they they will start rounding you up too.

    • ironic you bring up the genocide of the Jews…..which was all made possible by Hitler removing guns from the hands of the citizens first….

Larry, it is so good of you to spwak up on the side of ISIS in support of disarming its next victims. You fool no one! You will not be satisfied until every (average non-politician) American is disarmed. You deep down revel in mass terror in these gun-free zones whether in Paris or Orlando.

I, for one, will not be disarmed to be made a serf or soft target for your handlers. Pleasant dreams.

  46. its my thought larry will have to out live me and mine to see his utopia he wishes for IF his kind do not start another revilution over all this.. before its all over or solved there way

the vast majarity of all citizens respect the constitution .and will want things within that frame work , i dare say .

i think the nra is on right track in training responceable gun owners best thing might be is required training to get correct mind set of gun ownership ( guys like larry who say they do not want a gun is ok thats his personal choice but he does not have the right to trample the rest of us who prefer to protect ourselves and ours)

larry is i think seriosly conserned about the issue he just can not suggest how it can be done with out going against the constitution , and it says its a right we all have and can not be infringed upon . that really makes any laws or rules restricting guns invalid .

they (anti gunners )seriously underestimate the reactions to there methods.

the constitution says its everyones right to be self armed and goverment has no rights to infringe on that. that makes gun laws invalid . yep said twice so whats left ?

there fore everyone conserned about bad stuff done with guns HAS to be armed and willing to cut down anyone who dares do bad with one…right on the spot and stay on it.
thats how stuff was done when it all was written . was logical for its time and not much has really changed.. the law just can not be at right place at all times.

thats where we get ‘ only a good guy with a gun can stop bad guys with guns’. its simple enough. but sadly ‘progressives ‘ can not handle that approtch
it would be nice to know why they can’t maybe they thought a kid was good and he was not.
suisides and justifiable defence “victoms” should not be counted as gun violence in my view.
bad guys getting there due should not count sinces they brought it on themselves and better some one shoots them self (suisides) then cause a car crash and hurt inocents in the process . its a tough view yea.. sorry larry

its a tough additude yea .. sorry larry when will you get ticked enough to man up to the problem if its not your way i can understand that i can hardly blame you but do not let your familey be unprotected.

  47. Actually…no, he doesn’t know what it means. And The USA is #1 in per capita gun violence among our peer countries. Being in the middle (the median btw) of a population that includes a bunch of little island countries is not a sensible measurement. That’s how Seth Blatter stayed in control for so long.

    • That is just a lie. Your own list says otherwise.

    • Russia and Mexico are both higher on the list than the USA. They also break the gun violence down city to city and state to state. Where you will find that Atlanta Georgia is the worst- at 11.6, while the majority of the country sits right along with the rest of the “civilized world, at 0..-1.6 . Maybe law enforcement is what needs to change in cities like Atlanta.

    • the first thing Hitler did was remove guns from the hands of the citizens…

then the rest of their God given rights followed soon after.

    • Larry …please reconcile your anti gun philosophy….with respect to your “wanting to save lives”…
with the fact that far more people are killed by cars than by guns every year… Yet you are silent on banning autos. Why?

  48. No, I am arguing against this ongoing insanity of gun sales and gun ownership. We need to make solid and steady progress to remove guns from our society. Whether it takes 10 years, 25 years or 50 years.

    • LOL riiiiight, kinda like making drugs illegal removed drugs from our society. Kinda like making prostitution illegal removed hookers from our society, kinda like prohibition removed alcohol from our society, kinda like when gambling is illegal it removes it from our society? So now, making guns illegal will suddenly remove them from our society??? LOL Wake up man, try thinking more, observe more, emote less, and assert your ego’s need for power over others less. What’s insane is that people raise their kids to have no value for human life and give them a sense of entitlement like that Elliot Roger’s guy in Santa Barbara. What’s insane is that we still have drugs illegal which creates a violent black market where 90% of so-called “gun crime” (it’s really drug crime), originates. Quit blaming inanimate objects for human violence.

  49. These discussions have gone a bit rogue. So I’d like to comment for the logical and reasonable people out there who have the ability to see both sides of an argument.

From what I understand, during healthy discussions with both sides. The agreement by a majority is that there should be more restrictions on private gun sales, more background checks, and a further limiting of the quality of guns that are available to the public.

While looking at both sides; if I were to agree that private gun sales should be limited or banned, and that background checks should included suspected terrorists or crazy people….. The legislation that many people are backing right now would not cut it.

Why is that? Because the TSC is a committee of the senate that has full authority over any “no-fly list” or even a suitable replacement. The thing about a committee of the senate is that it has very few checks and balances compared to the judicial system. If there were some sort of list of people who have been deemed to dangerous to buy a gun that were managed by the court system, that could be argued out, documented and proven, I could possibly get behind a list like that. But unfortunately, the legislative branch doesn’t have a very good track record when it comes to enforcing legislation. If anyone has heard of McCarthyism or the “red scare” you can see a prime example of how the senate works regarding “suspected terrorists, or suspected lunatics”— I can very easily see how out of control it would get, by remembering just how many people were “suspected communists”

So why not limit sales to people who have been diagnosed with a mental disorder? Well- that’s very easy. I would challenge any single one of you to go to 5 different psychologists, to see if you could walk away with a clean bill of mental health. It’s still a very arbitrary practice.

Okay what about private gun sales? Well- how are you going to stop it? You can access the deep web and purchase all sorts of illegal products and services- and people rarely get caught. It would be very difficult to enforce any limitations on private sales without unlawful surveillance.

ou can take that as you will, but I still feel regardless of your point of view on this topic, that we should not just support the legislation because it is sitting in front of us. Stand up and demand legislation that works for us, not just some poorly thrown together Bill that was written for the sole purpose of getting political support for a campaign.

Now lastly I’d like to squash one rumor.

( Armalite Rifles- The AR-15 Semiautomatic copy of the M16 Assault rifle) Which has been coined even in google descriptions as an assault rifle to the point where the definition has been lost. 20 years ago an assault rifle was any weapon that fired automatically- ” a machine gun”. The AR standing for Armalite, has been the contributing factor to this confusion, because so many came to accept that AR meant “Assault Rifle”. An AR15 works exactly like any other rifle, you just spend less time reloading. I know plenty of hunters who use the AR15 while hunting for deer. It’s convenient to not have to reload every few shots.

That’s really all I have to say about that.

    • issues with your arguments.
      1. It has been proven that background checks dont stop any kind of violence.
      2. George Washington used a single shot musket…for his assault weapon.
      3. Outlaws dont follow laws…that’s why they are called outlaws. (Duh Lefties)
      4. Guns dont murder people. Outlaws do.
      5. I left my gun laying out on the table last night…and it never strayed…never assaulted anyone. Either i have a very lazy gun…or your propaganda is wrong.
      6. There is no “Gun Show Loophole”. ANY FFL holding person or entity, must do a background check for each gun sale…no matter where its at. If you dont have an FFL…you are never required to do a check if you sell a gun. FFL is required if you are in the business of buying or selling guns.
      7. Chicongo (Chicago) has some of the toughest gun laws around. How are they working? Over 500 shot and killed this year and over 3500 shot this year. How are your gun laws working there?

  50. Will this list be updated to include all of the “music stars” who signed that petition started by Everytown that’s on the cover of Billboard magazine?
