In addition to our own research Second Amendment Check has decided it is worth sharing the work of others.  Therefore, we are sharing the NRA-ILA’s lists of:

“Anti-Gun National Organizations”

“Anti-Gun Corporations/Corporate”

“Anti-Gun Publication and Media Outlets”

“Anti-Gun Individuals & Celebrities”

At Second Amendment Check we always attempt to source our material in our quest to provide objective and credible information.  Again, these lists have been compiled by the NRA-ILA, whom we recognize as a credible source of information.  Having said that, the exact criteria for making it onto the list are unclear, and the claims of being “Anti-Gun” have not been independently verified or validated by Second Amendment Check.

Also, after having had these lists published on their public website for many months, they have been removed after receiving some recent attention in the alternative media.  As noted in the Feb 11, 2013 update in this this Huffington Post article, the NRA-ILA has quietly removed the list from their website, but it can still be found in a web archive from January.  The reason for the removal of this list is not yet known.  Speculation suggests that the NRA ILA didn’t want to call unwanted attention to itself, or perhaps that it is reassessing or updating that list.  Second Amendment Check will attempt to get to the bottom of this mysterious disappearance.

NRA ILA List of Anti’s:

The following organizations have lent monetary, grassroots or some other type of direct support to anti-gun organizations. In many instances, these organizations lent their name in support of specific campaigns to pass anti-gun legislation such as the March 1995 HCI “Campaign to Protect Sane Gun Laws.” Many of these organizations were listed as “Campaign Partners,” for having pledged to fight any efforts to repeal the Brady Act and the Clinton “assault weapons” ban. All have officially endorsed anti-gun positions.

  1. I always love the argument “it is not the guns fault”. If guns were not dangerous, we could send soldiers to war with pencils. REASONABLE limits are enacted for cars, alchohol, marriage and others. Why is it so hard to understand that limits are necessary for guns?

    • Guns do actually have ‘reasonable restrictions’ and some not so reasonable restrictions, theyre just not enforced, may want to do some research before you look like an idiot.

      • Another 26 dead and 20 more wounded in Texas. Do NRA members put notches in their headboards when this happens?

        • Only democrats do,may want to read in to the person shooting, former military, democrat, hated christians, domestic abuse charges, court martialed, couldn’t legally touch a gun let a lone own one.
So pony up and admit you’re full of BS Larry.
This was also ended by a good civilian with a gun.

          • Exactly. We need laws and enforcement to make sure people like this never have access to a gun. There is so much we can do to prevent these events.

          • yeah and more gun control wont work, this dude broke all those laws to own his guns.
Its called enforcing what we already have.

          • Mrm you got it. For some reason the-Larry’s of the left- blame and vilify law abiding gun owners for actions of a few kooks. Do they blame all people who consume alcohol for deaths due to alcohol related crashes. Hell No!

    • I’ll cover you and fight while you run for your scared little life.

  2. There are more DUI involved deaths in this country then there are gun deaths. There almost an equal amount of house hold accident/ negligents deaths as gun deaths as well. There’s also a just slightly lower rate of death from hunger and malnutrition. Taking care of any of those would save more people than regulating guns and would not impede upon anyone’s rights or remove their property. Yet you persist that guns are the biggest threat.
Even the Las Vegas victims had around a 96% survival rate per capita for the crowd of concert patrons.

You have a few other trees to bark up before you get to this one if you’re actually concerned about lives Larry. I suspect your only real concern is your own ego.

    • Those are all legitimate issues that should and are being addressed on many fronts…and with very little resistance. The proliferation of guns and the tragic deaths that result should also be addressed and I have interest in solving this problems as well. They are not alternatives. I never said guns are our biggest threat. But they are a significant threat and it is a problem that is relatively easy to solve.

You assume they all want gun control lol, oh God I’m sorry but no, the percent of people who want gun control is about 20% right now, most of them idiots or paid.

      • Less than 5% of people in this country have even been threatened with a gun. Yes gun violence is tragic as all violence is. Disarming America will only create a stronger gun black market. I’m here to tell you, if you’re worried about people not having background checks now, buckle up.

But, don’t worry Larry, I’m sure with your harsher gun laws in place all of the criminal and crazy people will turn over a new leaf and walk the strait and narrow.

Your harsher laws might even teach those scum bags to respect their neighbors and fellow citizens.

        • Utterly false. And you think 5% of our population being threatened with guns is small??? That’s 16 million people! Stronger gun laws have been proven successful in every other first world country…gun violence in all of them is a fraction of ours. They all think we’re either nuts or idiots and sadly your comments prove them right.

          • MATTHEW R MUNSON

Have not been successful in lowering crime or homicides, at all.
Just those committed with a gun, but the over tall rate remains the same, or increases. Hell even Australia has had an increase in sexual assaults.
Englands homicides rate is still above what it was when they had less restrictive gun laws. They’re even reporting an increase in Gun violence and gun crime now.
            Quit drinking the Kool aid

        • Even with tougher gun laws and enforcement….violent offenders will still receive lighter sentences and be released early…generally a leftist doing.

  3. Really Larry? Does a car sale guarantee a drunk driving death? Does sale of a portable swiming pool guarantee an accidentally or intentional drowning of a toddler? By your logic we should have robots move us around in wheelchairs and spoon feed us mush so we don’t trip or, stab ourselves in the eye with a fork. You should try moving to China where people don’t have guns. We all know how much they care about their citizens there.
You would fit right in Larry a perfect little worker ant not concerned with anything except obedience.

    • No, we’ll just limit gun sales and use thank you. There is no great public movement to limit cars or swimming pools but there is a groundswell of public interest in controlling this problem with guns.

  4. in Idaho of all places. although approved for the loan to purchase a building for a firearm retail store, the financial institution required me to have a FFL prior to the loan given to me utilizing that address. i explained application process etc but after the 20th hoop, i realized it was never going to stop. disparate treatment of coarse…im sure no other business would have to obtain a license with the intended real estate building prior to getting a loan.

    • Fantastic! We need more measures to discourage people from profiting from and contributing to the gun death epidemic.

You mean like Bloomberg and Soros, or all the people they pay to strip civil rights from people?
I agree, bankrupt them, boycott their businesses and all the groups they fund.
That actually will help crime and gun violence.

    • the real fact is this; it will be a whole lot easier to run the anti gunners ALL out of office with out a shot fired for treasion to the constitution and there oath of office . THAT is the most civilized way to deal with this situation gentlemen. there for …. be sure to let everyone know that is the plan. we are the NRA and we vote. then work to remove the really crummy gun laws in place. such as gun free zones that set up sitting ducks. move to enact shall issue and ccl (conseled carry licenses ) to all states. sooner or later criminals will abandon muggings and robberys when enough get resistance or stopped.

  5. “Larry”. Recommend you fine another find another cause/place to air your thoughts where your snowflake friends will care.

    • But this is where the problem is.

      • No, Larry, I’m sorry no problems here, close to a billion legal arms in the US and you think the law abiding gun owners are the problem… might I suggest going to chicago, or DC, even parts of Cali for NYC and talking to the folks about their guns?
Thats where over 51% of the firearm homicides happen… yknow where its already difficult to get them legally..

        • I understand that way too many guns are owned legally…and THAT is the problem. Thanks for clarifying and putting focus on what needs to be done…making it illegal to own guns.

          • mhm then why are over 99.999% of crimes committed with a gun, committed with an illegally owned gun by those who cant own one to begin with?

          • Thanks again for pointing out the massive excess of guns in this country…like no other…just like our inexcusable rate of deaths from guns…many times higher than all other first world country. And you don’t think that is a problem? Keep your head in the sand.

          • I beg to differ legal guns are not the problem .
Stopping bad stuff by any gun holder is the problem.
Making too may sitting ducks is not helpful.
Now you allready have thoe’s who have lost that civic duty due to there actions. (convicted felons)
Find laws / procedures to see to it guns stay out of there hands.

  6. Don’t know who Larry is but glad he’s not my neighbor! By the way: “The surest way to enslave a man is to disarm him”. (Thomas Jefferson)

    • the real fact is this; it will be a whole lot easier to run the anti gunners ALL out of office with out a shot fired for treasion to the constitution and there oath of office . • Now this is true mental illness. What a cult following whack job.

    • Replying to James hammers comment.
First of all this will be the 1st and only time I agree with Larry, You sound like a zealot bro! Of course black people will probably vote Democrat because the Republican party is always trying to put and keep people of color in jail. In affect removing their constitutional rights.
If you want to bring race into the gun debate,(although it seems you just wanted to make a statement even if it’s mainly off subject)

I’ll play along the biggest damage to our gun rights comes from mass shootings mostly committed by white males between the ages of 15 and 60.

So I’ll talk to the black community about switching parties James but, you have to talk to your white brothers about getting mental help before they go out and shoot everyone and then themselves.

      • I applaud the NRA’s statement that bump stocks should be subject to additional regulations. Finally some recognition that it makes sense to strengthen gun control laws. A small step in the direction of the vast majority of this great countries citizens.

        • You mean the vast minority?
Also missed the part of the statement demanding national reciprocity for conceal carry permits.

        • Paul Colapietro

Good morning Larry & Good morning everyone. Before I start this rather interesting conversation. Larry what Party are you affiliated with?

          • I’m not affiliated with a party. I’m affiliated with common sense.

          • Common sense would dictate you’re lying about having common sense.

          • Paul Colapietro

Sounds to me like your hiding the truth from us. Like most people on this even hide there full name. So what is your feeling about the Vegas shooting?

          • I am never untruthful and I could care less about political parties. The Las Vegas shooting, and specifically the exceptionally large number of casualties and injuries, was preventable. We, the people of this country, should have stopped selling weapons like this decades ago. There is no justifiable reason for them. The majority of our population is against them but efforts to do the right thing are thwarted by the NRA lobby which represents a small minority of our people. I hold the NRA responsible for these deaths.

          • Larry I would lay off the pipe man, its getting really sad how your brain is turning in to swiss cheese

          • Did any of you gun supporters watch the Weekend Update segment on Saturday Night Live tonight? Spot on.

        • Nice so there going to put restrictions in springs? That’s what a bump stock is. Your making no progress in your argument. Don’t dodge this just answer it straight

Do you think that government is more capable of making decisions for Americans. Then the people themselves?

      • Complete lie, most mass shootings are committed by non whites along with almost all gun crimes

  8. I bet these fat Libtards blame their overweight fat butts on the spoon or fork instead of themselves. A gun resting in a holster or in a safe never killed anyone. People kill and will use any tool at their disposal. Boston Marathon was disrupted by a crockpot filled with explosives. Crockpots not banned. Airliners hit the World Trade center. Airliners (jets, planes) not banned. Oklahoma Federal building blown up by a delivery truck filled with explosives. Delivery trucks not banned. Laws only harm the honest person. Criminals don’t give a damn about any laws. In most of these cases, one person with a gun could have prevented these.

    • But statistically it is overwhelmingly guns that are used to kill people. Let’s get to work solving this simple problem of unnecessary gun proliferation and broad lack of strong laws to restrict who may acquire and keep a gun.

      • Larry, they aren’t lol Preventable medical mistakes.
Firearms are even used to save more lives than they take in civilian hands.

        • “Firearms are even used to save more lives than they take in civilian hands.”

1.5 MILLION people have been killed in the US by civilian firearms since 1968. You mean to say more than that have been saved? I’m calling BS.

      • Cheryle Katribe

Why don’t you advocate enforcing the gun laws that are on the books rather than advocating more laws that aren’t going to be enforced. Most legal gun owners are law abiding citizens that are within their constitutional rights to own and carry a gun. As a Texas License To Carry Holder, I: have no felony convictions (and strive to never get one); have no drug-related convictions, (and again strive to never have one), have no mental defects/disabilities, have no Class B misdemeanor or higher convictions in at least the past 5 years, (and again strive to never have one), and have passed a NICS criminal background check. Can you say the same?

        • Yes I can. And I agree with you that we need to do much more to enforce current gun laws in addition to passing more gun laws with real teeth. Let’s work together on both.

          • heres the only gun control law that should be passed,
Mandatory gun safety education in school, you can not get in to middle school with out knowing how to handle a firearm safely.
            End of discussion.

          • Great. Teach our kids to shoot each other. Brilliant!

          • You want to end accidents? reduce negligent discharges? Actually improve the situation?
Thats how it will be fixed.
            There is no other solution.
            Welcome to reality.
Arguing otherwise only shows your real plan and scheme. We have enough laws with ‘teeth’ on the books, it’s time to teach people and educate them what firearms can do and how to handle them safely.
            Which is it?
Are you for safety or for death Larry?

While we’re at it, lets make conceal carry legal for everyone with out a permit that can otherwise own a firearm legally, everywhere. That will reduce shootings, its been proven by it not happening in the states that already have implemented it.

No more firearm registration, hasn’t stopped a single crime, done and gone.
No more license to own, we already have background checks, so its excessive.
Extra laws, have had no benefit in the the states that have them. Look in to it before you argue, compare Texas to New York for example. Small towns in New york have as much crime, violent or other wise as those in Texas.

So if gun laws are to help keep us safe and reduce crime, we should go with facts, and facts show no additional laws, backed up with a CDC study in 2013, have zero benefit and only hurt the law abiding.
The facts say its time to thin the laws, not increase.
So Larry are you for keeping law abiding people safe or criminals?

          • Larry
Here recently you assert the NRA has caused or you blame us , the members, for acts comitted by others yet you do not reconise anyone who passed gun free zones, who made so many sitting ducks , off scot free how do you balance that?
When i was a kid we KNEW some teachers were armed , by permission or not, it was not an issue.
Given 3 teachers died in fla on feb 14 2018 (who were not armed ) how can you let that slide? They were unarmed prehapps because of undue gun laws.

            Explain please.

          • They were shot by someone with an AR-15. Would not have mattered if they had handguns. Take the Ar-15 out of the picture and the mass murders stop.

          • You really think mass shooters will loose the will to do harm with the demise of the AR15. What about the kid in Memphis recently? He accidentally shot himself in the bathroom while planning a shooting of some type complete with timed fireworks for distraction. The only weapon available to him was a 22LR belonging to his mother.

I theorize that he shot himself trying to figure out how to commit suicide with a rifle after he finished whatever he was planning.

Colombian guys didn’t use a ARs. Lock your guns up when you’re not around people. Even a trigger lock is adequate if you can’t afford a safe.

          • Exactly…the Memphis kid did not have access to an automatic or semi-automatic gun so he failed to carry out the mass killing he wanted to do. We need to outlaw all guns in this these categories.

          • Please check your facts Larry. The kid I’m Memphis had a semi-auto 22LR rifle like a 10/22 or simular. Just like an AR or AK but much smaller rounds. His brand of gun had nothing to do with his failure to do harm he just simply committed suicide by mistake while practicing how to do it with a rifle. I’m assuming Jacques Cousteau Style.
Larry, sometimes trying to debate with you gives me a headache.

          • Oh and Larry no fully automatic rifles have been used in any mass shooting in America. They’ve been illegal nation wide since 1935. The only exceptions are military, police with special training, private owners with an extra background check and a federal tag, the last category being criminals who buy illegal military weapons on the black market.

None of these owners or guns have been involved in a unprovoked mass shooting. Guns from the last group have been used on multiple people during gang battles but, I don’t count those as a mass shooting.

          • Mark Jackaman

You have hit a new level of stupid. Take the criminal out of the picture, which would have been easy if people had done their job, and the shootings stop.

      • It’s statistically overwhelming that your opinion is trash

        • Standard liberal response when confronted with their worst enemy, FACTS

        • Explain to us unworthy why federal firearms violation prosecution is up 25% since the dems were voted out. One thing the mainstream media will never admit but it’s true. Imagine that.

      • All the gun control laws that are needed are already on the books. Just check
into it. The problem is that liberal politicians are purposely not enforcing them to make the unfounded claims that we need more laws. Just study federal firearms law. By the way, since Trump took office federal firearms violation prosecution is up twenty-five percent because prosecutors have been instructed to do their job by Jeff Sessions. See, it is possible to protect 2nd amendment and inforce constitutional gun laws at the same time

      • Law Enforcement and the court system need to be more strict on violent crimes with a firearm. The majority of crimes with a firearm are by black people. Three acts of violence with a firearm and it should be automatic life in prison without the possibility of parole. If someone was killed then they need to get the death penalty and they need to be executed within 1 year.

        • Wow. NRA = Bigotry

          • Wow. Trolling NRA site with completely ignorant rhetoric and then stating that the NRA = Bigotry… How ironic.

come on larry you did nothing to answer the question asked. you just made another assertion of opinion … that makes no sence at that . fyi gun free zones in effect since 1990 that’s 28 years .. a long time to be disarmed.

now would you care to try again?

      • overwhelmingly guns are used to defend against crime. most offten when sucessful no shot is fired ergo no reporting it. we have a pretty strong set of rules in getting guns thru dealers allready. no added ones needed.

the real fact is this; it will be a whole lot easier to run the anti gunners ALL out of office with out a shot fired for treasion to the constitution and there oath of office . • 58 people dead in Vegas, they were not killed by a knife. Supporting the NRA is supporting a terrorist organization. They care nothing about anything other than your financial support. If you think they are about anything other than money then you are stupid.

      • Name one NRA member who took part in terrorism, or was involved in a mass shooting. Also I noticed you didn’t respond to some comments. That’s an indication you don’t have all the arguments straight. There are attacks with trucks that have killed more than 200 people at one time. Sometimes you have to realize that there will always be harmful people to society, but the vast majority of us love our neighbors, and communities.
If you want to be part of something great. Help me fight against children in fatherless homes. I don’t need to look up any statistics to say this is probably one of the biggest contribute to violent crimes committed. If you haven’t read about it yet countries like Germany, and Sweden with no rights to own fire arms, and no immigration laws are turning thier backs on women being attacked, and raped along with children boys, and girls. All in the name of righteous virtue signaling. Type in Google swedish community swimming pools. You won’t be impressed. I don’t know all of your opinions, but remember governments do take advantage of power. Do you trust that after they take away all the guns from law abiding citizens they are going to do everything in our best interest? They deficit we have, and the endless amount of money we print hasn’t shown it’s benefits yet in my opinion. Larry I would safely bet that if you went and got a firearm today you aren’t going to go kill every living thing in sight. Unless you say different I truly believe that. My family comes from the farm. Both of my parents side, and all us we’re raised around guns. The first time I shot a gun I was 2 years old. I pulled the trigger while my dad held the gun. Not a single death in the family caused by guns. All of our deaths are contributed to Cancer, and car accidents. We respect them because we have been educated about them from our earliest stages in life. Teaching kids to respect guns doesn’t result in them killing eachother uncontrollably. I think that comment was pretty low for you to make. Children who grow up in fully functional family’s don’t have that kind of hate.

I would be cautious of anyone trying to strip you of any Constitution rights, or severely trying to restrict them. America is unique because other countries don’t have the same privileges as we do. We need to protect them. Not fight them…. I could probably keep going but I’m tired of typing. So I’ll save it for when I hear from you. Have a nice day

        • Time for change. There is no legitimate reason for so many people to have guns. They are a deadly toy. Such a simple matter to adopt the policies that have proven to be effective in all of our peer countrues.

          • MATTHEW R MUNSON

Larry, gun crime is up in England, so are sexual assaults, violently crime, and homicide didn’t drop.
No country that’s adopted gun control has seen lower crime or homicide, most see an increase.
You again prove a level of idiocy I thought impossible.

          • All of our peer countries that have adopted gun controls experience far fewer gun deaths than we do. Our rate of gun deaths per capita is many times higher than any peer country.

          • How about the entirety of their homicides?
Those are up, while ours go down.
Even with our shitty healthcare system, seriously crappy safety nets, and disdain for the lower tiers of society, our crime and homicide rates are on a huge decline, theirs are climbing.

          • You’re right we shouldn’t be letting children play with toys guns. They are tools to be handled with respect.

What you just said is also an obvious lie. You can’t back that up. The peer countries you’re talking about are leaving thier homelands because they don’t feel safe anymore, and the government who is supposed to protect them. Has turned thier back.

It’s time to start thinking rational, instead of running away. You portraying Americans as blood thirsty bigots is a reflection of your ignorance, and has no weight. I’m not scared to go in public. People don’t leave thier house terrified of being shot. Take away everyone’s right to self preservation, and that might change.

I’m curious why you think 51% should be able to take away the rights of 49%. In my eyes that is just giving control of one person over the other. How does that separation result in a better life for Americans? You don’t identify as right, or left, and you don’t affiliate yourself with any specific political party. So you already understand that. Why argue the opposite of your own belief’s?

      • Sorry for the horrible grammer, and spelling. I was having a hard time just posting the dam thing.

      • i’m really disappointed in any gratuitious assertions larry makes .. there his opinions . He claimes to be here to discus the issues . but way to much of it is just his opinion.

can any one out there point to a law that only effects the bad guys to get this going? (bad guys defined as all with violent felionies with-in the past 10 years and not serving a sentence.)

i’m also wondering about larry’s record .. larry, can you buy fire arms leagley? and what state in? asuming you can , why not a gun owner?

most gun owners i know have one like an insurance policy that has a tangible value , in case they need one, with out out side hoops to deal with or just like to target shoot. but also have one to excersize the right to one.

        • It may just be CA but I think it’s nation wide the only law that affects bad guy’s is they loose the right to possess any firearm only instead of 10 years that one last forever. It’s the only thing the NICKS(escuse my spelling) system works for. That restraining orders and, if you ever had a medical marijuana card both show up in the system and would prevent you from owning a gun. I don’t think it works on psychological cases unless they include a criminal act.

        • No, I don’t have a gun and I don’t know anyone who does. I have never had a notion of getting a gun as there is absolutely no need for one. Having a gun around would create a potentially dangerous situation, not prevent one. I could keep cyanide in a jar in my house too, but that would introduce the possibility of a family member or guest ingesting it and killing himself or herself. There’s no upside for me to do that, just like there is no upside to having a gun.

          • MATTHEW R MUNSON

that nice mental institution must be nice, safely locked away from all the armed citizens, all the drugs you can gobble down, no work, just sitting around writing your manifesto.
Guns actually stop situations from getting worse, trust me on that one. I dont even have to fire my gun to get people to back down from trying to mug me, assault me, or even breaking in to my home. A gun is nothing but positive in the hands of a good person, and nothing but bad in the hands of folks like you.

  9. Sean Joseph Kraynak

I see Larry is still in here baiting incendiary remarks and attempting to disparage anyone who disagrees with him on the purpose and use of the 2nd amendment.

Let me recap my old comments from 2 years ago.

Criminals will still find a way to get guns regardless of legislation- so legislation will only
remove guns from the hands of law abiding citizens.

Firearm related accidents are a result of negligence. We shouldn’t structure our society in a way that will prevent stupidity.

Paranoia and Vigilance are two polarities of the same word. Neither word is correct or incorrect, they are just two perspectives of the same thing. Though paranoid loads an inference that what someone fears cannot possibly happen. Vigilance is the act of awareness to prevent something that could possibly happen.

Police response time is on average 10 minutes or more- in the event of a home invasion it could be quite useful to have a gun immediately available for self defense.

Guns can be easily manufactured in a home garage. To implement a ban of guns would involve banning many of the materials that are used to manufacture them.

The “no fly list” idea was opposed mostly because of its similarities to the Red Scare, in that the list would be controlled by a committee of the senate, which lacks in available documentation or checks and balances. Currently, gun ownership is dictated by the judicial system- documented and proven acts of violence or criminal intent. I don’t personally see how putting that into the hands of a legislative committee would be a wise choice.

To disagree with Larry does not make you a dumbass, regardless of how much he tries to make you feel that way.

Anyhow. Those who have guns/want guns. Keep em locked up safe away from children, don’t shoot your eye out, and be responsible.

Those who don’t have/want guns. Live and let live….or die…or whatever comes to those who differ in opinion. Recognize your boundaries. It is perfectly acceptable to choose not to have something for yourself. To attempt to force others to abide strictly by how you think things should change is out of line and is the definition of controlling. Resist the urge to try to control others- and you will sleep better at night. Hope and fight for better security in schools. Hope and work for breakthroughs in mental care. Come up with effective strategies to make your country a better place without infringing on the rights and wants/needs of others. Do not assert your lifestyle on others because what works for you will not always work for everyone else.

The truth. Sometimes guns are necessary. Sometimes they aren’t. Sometimes people screw up, and guns fall into the wrong hands. Sometimes they sit in a locked drawer unused for years and years. Sometimes they are used for good, sometimes for bad.

Lastly. Our current laws are fairly balanced. I personally don’t see how changing them in any way could make them more fair for both sides of the argument.

Just let it go- Leave the current laws alone until you find better ones that can be agreed upon by everyone.

    • Liberals haven’t even thought through their own ideology because they whole heartedly want to do away with the 2nd amendment but routinely hide behind the 1st. Think about that, if one amendment is done away with, what’s stopping someone from doing away with another. Who’s to say which other one some radical faction might go after because they disagree with it.

    • I want dangerous people to not have guns. Do you want that? STOP INFRINGING UPON WHAT I WANT AND NEED!!!!!

      • Your to young to discuss politics. I’m glad that some youth want to participate, but you should wait till you’ve had enough time to develop a proper understanding. Try developing an opinion though research. Don’t just puke up the opinions that have been spoon fed to you through propaganda, and a biased media sources.

    • you see that’s why we oppose ANTI GUNNERS AND ‘larry’ he does not just want to enforce laws we have. he wants to annoy gun owners who have followed the laws and seeks more bad laws to have more unarmed citizens by a thousand cuts. that part is a mistake. he is pushing polititions to ignore there oaths of office to pass more unconstituional gun laws.

i say its time to call for the ouster of all polititions who try to get around the constition , , ignore due process , declared rights and there oaths of office.

the oath of office inply’s every new law they pass meets constitunal muster that they have read, understand and afirm the law meets this condition.

get there bad laws off the books because way to many have bin bad for everyone . gun free zones is one bad example. huge mistake thou well intentioned . making sitting ducks is a failure. WE HAVE TO MANY PLACES THAT’S THE CASE ALREADY. i believe its the cause of mass shootings in general.

it is inperitive , thugs, criminals , bad actors to know they will be resisted at any moments notice.
Any law that delays that is not going to help.
Every responceable gun owner must NOT be disarmed due to a quirk in the law that brings undue red tape.

cc permits NEED to be honered in all states and be ‘ shall issue’ to leagle owners.

review of the 20,000 + gun laws should take place with the above in mind.

feel free to use spell cheak if your confused at all.

      • Let me be clear. I want to enforce gun laws, stop sale and distribution of guns and take guns away. I’m fine having a procedure for checking guns out for recreational hunting purposes or use on ranges…just like ski rentals. It may take decades to do but if you have big goals that improve society for everyone you have to start sometime.

        • thanks for your update larry .

          let me be clear too.
          1. i oppose laws that would take rights from gun-owners to defend them selves and other innocents thru-out the land because more sitting ducks makes for bad situations for you, me and everyone.

          2. polititions who do not uphold there office oath need to be voted out of office post haste.

  10. “Foolish liberals who are trying to read the Second Amendment out of the Constitution by claiming it’s not an individual right or that it’s too much of a public safety hazard, don’t see the danger in the big picture. They’re courting disaster by encouraging others to use the same means to eliminate portions of the Constitution they don’t like.” —Alan M. Dershowitz

    • for the lack of a 2nd amendment, there has bin around 20,000,000 deaths by goverments on there own people , since 1900 (117 years) thats about 468.32 deaths per day or 170,940.17 a yr for 117 yrs on average .

our second amendment has bin instimental in the usa not being a part of that 20 million during this time.

      thats the bigger picture

not to mention rights to self defence

should self defence numbers get that big we should run out of bad guys soon enough.

      • Yeah, because the little six-shooters all you BIG MEN keep at home is what is stopping the world’s most powerful military from invading your house.

        • That’s a very reasonable concern. This is why we need access to assult rifles.

Let’s all hope that American soldiers remember they fight to protect thier family, and other U.S. citizens. Not a tyrannical government seeking to controll it’s people through intimidation and control.

  11. “none of us has ever used our firearms to harm you”? You’ve got to be kidding. Grandma…you are living in your own imagination.

    • Coming from some one who is in nothing but his own imagined world of false facts, and twisted realities. Can’t even bring facts to a single discussion I’ve seen here.

  12. When are NRA members going to discover spell check. Or literacy for that matter.

  13. lets include while in committe , all laws , with out changes, should get reviewed and certified. that ” we the committe certify this law is constitutional and that we have read and understand it ” (under penelty of treasion) before it can be voted out of committy and when the body passes it with out changes, , they also ceritify under penelty of treasion that it passes muster.

.if the law is found to be unconstitional later its grounds to disqualify them from re election and possably other penelty’s.

i had thought the oath of office covered this but it seems not to be so.

  14. Only one weapon in history was designed with NO peaceful use. Larry and all other anti-gunners, can you guess what it is? The SWORD, that’s right, all weapons have multi-uses. ALL, there isn’t a firearm made that you can’t hunt, practice, protect your homes and families and yes shoot other people with. Knives, hammers, trowels, baseball bats, crow bars, pens & pencils, ETC……. All of these things and many more, have the job they are meant to do and the ANY other purpose that the holder decides to do with them. The FBI crime stats show many more people are killed and injured with blunt objects than any other weapon. More people are killed in auto accidents than by guns, so lets out law cars, tools, Any thing that can hurt some one. As others have said, it’s not the instrument, it’s the PERSON using it.

    • Only one weapon in history is routinely used to kill dozens of innocent American civilians in a matter of seconds. And it’s not a sword!

      • hmmmm. Bomb. poison. fire. planes. all these can kill thousands in seconds. much more efficient than guns. take away guns, they will use a bomb. take away everything you can make bombs with, they will use fire. take away fire, they will use sticks and stones. take away sticks and stones, they will kill with their bare hands. What do you propose we do, cut off peoples hands? people have been killing people for thousands of years before guns. think before you open your money maker ;-)

        • Reasonable restrictions huh. How do any of you gun grabbers have the nerve to site the Texas church shooting when it was the government you want to give extra powers too that failed to enforce laws already on the books that would have kept guns out of his hands.

That is proof that giving the government more power and money is just that alone. They will never be able to enforce more laws.

Even if you succeed in all of your goals and fully ban guns, you will only actually accomplish 2 things. 1. Allow the government to grab and borrow more money adding to dept and deficit.
          2. Create a black market for criminals and make a few gangsters rich.
History has proven this. Just look at AL Capone. Same deal just with alcohol.

        • To JD
Even though there are power limits set on cars people still drive drunk and kill people, people still street race and kill people, people still get on their phone and kill people, people still rent large trucks and kill people. There it is your entire violence spectrum from negligence to murder exist for the motor vehicles you just used as an example. NEXT!

      • While you simultaneously forget about the more frequent attacks. On other Western Civilizations with out the same accessible weapons.

Those people didn’t even have the option to defend thier own life. All they could do is run.

It’s unfortunate that many people who are victims of these attacks. Weren’t armed at the time it went down.

        • Arming more people leads to more gun deaths as we can plainly see and has been proven across the first world.

          • but it lowers overall homicides Larry.
            No guns, more overall homicides.
more guns, higher percentage done with guns, but less over all.

          • Incorrect.

          • Might I suggest looking again?
Australia’s hasnt gone anywhere, up or down(sexual assaults another story however), England however has more homicides now than pre-96.

          • “Compared to 22 other high-income nations, the United States’ gun-related murder rate is 25 times higher.”

          • and our crime is some of the lowest, you focus on an inanimate object, we focus on the big picture.
Now do some real research, and from somewhere who isn’t handed money to parrot information, somewhere that actually does research.
            Like the CDC.

          • The CDC is famously influenced by the NRA financed Republican right. That’s a poor choice for data on this subject.

Every respected source of data on this subject shows the same reality. 25x. This is not debatable.

          • Fun fact countries that prohibites thier citizens to defend them self’s with guns. Have house robberies while the family is at home instead of when they are gone. The reason is they will likely have thier purse, or wallet on them.

The chances of being shot by someone trying to protect thier family discourages this

          • some 80-90% on convicts confirmed this during a study.
Armed people deter criminals, also evident in the lower crime rates even among our own states. NY to TX illinois to even Washington, California to Florida.

          • More gun deaths. But less overall homicides. This is because more people kill others with blunt objects when a gun is not available.

You are also leaving out that a large percentage of these deaths are gang members killing each other or justifiable deaths meaning killing that person saved at least one other person(who was being attacked by the shit shitbag who now isn’t in society)

If you want the lowest number of good people being killed an armed population is the way to go.

If the intention is to keep as many bad people alive (home invaders, rapists and so on) gun control works well.

A perfect society would have all the nonviolent armed while the violent are put at a massive disadvantage by being denied that right.

A society from hell would have all the violent criminals armed while keeping the citizens as sitting ducks. This version is what happens under gun control.

  15. Thanks for the list! I know it’s a hate list origianally but it gives me hope that there are still sane and nornal people in this country. Did you build your doomsday shelter already? The world is a dangerous place lilttle men, its time to hide away with your gun collection, violent video games and toothless wives. Pls stay down there. Dont forget to take your behemoth truck with you! Cheers.

    • I think I know what the capital C stands for

    • In my experience the ones who use alot of insults don’t have enough knowledge to sustain a debate.

Sticks, and stones may break my bones, but your lack of information can never hurt me.

It’s been acknowledged that this method only strengthens our belief’s, and sends fence sitters to our side.

My only advice is to look up as many, opinions that appose your own. You might start acknowledging us like you would want to be acknowledged yourself.

If you had a conversation with me. You might find out that I don’t drive big trucks, I don’t have cable TV or play video games, im strongly against pornography, and I want to strengthen my community not just with my neighbors, but my fellow country men.

  16. All of you gun freaks are small little men who think an inanimate object makes you a real man.

    • Not even going to give you the time of day if you’re immediately going to assume that I’m a “gun freak” instead of having an appreciation for fine firearms and shoot targets. I don’t go starting riots just bc I don’t like a certain speaker at UC Berkeley, nor do I call myself “decent” then go parading down the street in Washington DC wearing a vagina for a hat. Don’t call me a “gun freak” and I won’t call you a “libtard” or a “snowflake.” Fair enough?

    • You may call those of us that enjoy shooting “Gun Freaks” but that only shows your ignorance. Would you call someone a wood freak if they enjoyed carpentry? Probably not. Yet you let the media cast a negative shadow on decent people that clouds your judgement into thinking all people that own guns are bad. I and many others that own guns have not ever nor will ever (unless our lives are in danger) even point a gun at another person, let alone shoot someone.

I am all for trying to keep guns out of the hands of criminals, but that does not mean that if I want to have a hobby of shooting targets that I should be punished for their actions. If you want to keep that type of thinking then all cars should be banned as well. Drunk drivers kill many people each year… so does that mean no one should be able to drive? No, of course not.

Open your eyes for a moment and stop trying to label people with your terms like “gun freak” and try to see others as humans that enjoy something that you may not like, but can accept. I do not enjoy yoga, but I surely would not demean anyone that wanted to do it.

As to your thinking of all of us “gun freaks” being little men that think a gun will make us a real man. That is about the dumbest thing I have heard all day. I am a real man because I contribute to my community, have served my country as a U.S. Marine, and because I am a loving partner to a beautiful woman. NOT beacause I have a gun or because I enjoy shooting them.

    • Only a traitor to this nation and constitution would insult patriots in this manner. And trust us when we say we will pass laws that deem any form of infringement as a felony.

It is also in our future to call into question the citizenship validation of any american that is anti 2nd amendment… The line in the sand is drawn.. You will not change our constitution.. We will pass laws to get you out of this country traitors!!! The pebble has been dropped in the pond.. The water ripples and great Americans will act and punish treason as our founders did.. Be American or leave!!! Its that simple!!

      • Sounds like you’re not a big fan of the 1st Amendment….

      • As much as I want to agree with you I also don’t. Part of what we fight for is everyone ability to have a voice, and protest the things we feel are unjust. Undermining that is just as much of an insult to our American culture as any red faced leftist screaming hatred to fellow Americans.

They fight us because the believe it’s for our benefit. Regardless of how misguided they might be.

Telling Americans to leave America is no different than Germany telling it’s citizens to leave Germany because they don’t want violent refugees in thier country, and homes.

Americans just have to accept the bull shit it throws at itself, and figure out a away to bring citizens closer together. We are supposed to be brother’s in this country.

Love your parents, love your neighbor, love your community, love your country.

    • I don’t know what you mean by “gun freak” but not everyone that supports the 2A is a man. I am a woman, mother and a grandmother. I am a working member this country. I use firearms for sport and protection if I need it. I am trained to use it and I treat all my firearms like any other tool such as a hammer, which by the way can also be used to harm others. Stop stereotyping gun owners into such heinous people. We are your neighbors, friends and shop owners. We pass you in the street, talk to you in the grocery line, see you at the mall and yet none of us has ever used our firearms to harm you.

      • Ronnie Safreed

Kelly, have ever wondered if there have been any armed uprisings against a corrupt local government & or corrupt police in the over 240 year history of America? An example was The Battle Of Athens Tennessee August 1 & 2 1946, in which not just a few or 5, 10 12 folk took up guns but “hundreds” fought a 3-6 hour gun battle with a corrupt local government & police & won the battle! The movie An American Story is on you tube in full & part & was made in 1992! A remake is coming out soon!!!!!

    • …and yet you would blame that “inanimate object” more for the gun violence than the person (and problems) on the other end of it and wistfully take away my natural right of self preservation! Keep your “little men” comments to yourself or better yet…hang a mirror in your house!

    • You would be happy to have 1 of those objects if, your window breaks in the middle of the night and the police are 15min away after you fully wake up and call. The intruder will be in your bedroom in 5min or less. HAve fun being slaughtered like live stock. Oh, by the way the police won’t make entry into your house for at least an additional 5min.

I’ll be a live little man. You can be a dead big woman.

      • Common reason for unneeded gun ownership…paranoia. We need to compliment more gun control with more mental health services.

        • common reason to try and curb civil rights.
You should quit already, no one will drink your kool aid. You are the minority.

          • Fellow NRA members…as this story unfolds let’s pay close attention to he kind of gun our buddy James T. Hodgkinson used this morning and how he obtained it

          • From illinois with an assault on his record… hmmm can’t get them legally in illinois..
From illinois so he cant buy them legally anywhere else.

        • It’s ironic you bring up… paranoia It’s a little hypothetical.

You can’t prove that taking away everyone’s right to self preservation is going to solve any problems in this country. The money to do all that also has to come from people working jobs that don’t agree with you.

Take note that throwing money at problems doesn’t solve them.

          • We can actually prove that it wont even reduce crime, or gun violence.
England, and england has fewer social issues than we do, and a half decent social safety net.

          • Nor does ignoring the problem and making false claims about it. I think we can all agree that the rate of gun deaths is higher than we want it to be and mass shootings are increasing at an alarming rate.

          • yet its dropping as gun ownership goes up Larry.
gun ownership is climbing and all homicides and crime are on the decline,

          • Incorrect.

And the underlying data is from the CDC which is heavily influenced by the NRA

          • actually, its not lol, they went to baltimore in 2013, at the presidents request, no one elses.
It never was, and never has been polluted by the NRA.
Now youre just looking for a red herring. Something else to blame, a reason you think proves yours argument.
Larry, the gun control activists, or more properly those against civil rights, have lost, the laws initially based in racism were flawed then and are flawed now,

    • So, half a million cops are “small, little men?” The real smalk, little men are the small minded ones like you.

    • All liberals know is confrontation because that is all they have ever been taught. All their so-called heroes and role models know nothing of intelligent discussion. All they know is when they are in over their head become hostile or accuse the opposition of racism. Liberals worst enemy is the facts.

    • Molon Abe

  17. Third grade thinking.

  18. Blaming guns for killing is like blaming pencils for mispelled words. Such idiots that can’t comprehend that! Maybe we should ban pencils too!

    • Ray… Mate…
I see what you’re saying, I do, and you’re ABSOLUTELY right. A gun can only harm someone if another is there to pull the trigger. I am well aware of that. As is every other “idiot” that speaks out against unnecessary gun violence.
Now please, just take a moment to consider my argument.
As I said, it is ABSOLUTELY true that the gun itself, left alone, is a harmless tool or weapon, whatever you want to call it. If it’s sitting on a table or in a drawer, it can’t hurt anyone.
But it’s also true that every single american citizen is legally allowed to own a gun. Or 2. Or 10, of any calibre. So although you, Davida, Paul Colapietro and Patriot Lady over here, may have no intention of ever using your gun(s) to harm another individual or several, there are many out there that do. So many. Too many. But the majority of American citizens refuse to undergo simple background checks when they purchase a gun, so there’s no way of knowing who these individuals are, until they’ve done what they’ve done.
Here’s a bit of a fun fact for you: it is illegal for anyone on a terror watch list to board a plane. But it is PERFECTLY legal for them to walk into a store and purchase a gun. Or several.

And do not dare argue that you need your gun to protect yourself. That argument is as invalid as it is outrageous. It’s the 26th of May, 2017. Since the beginning of the year there have been 24,374 gun related incidents in the US. 5,956 killed. 11,708 injured. 261 of them, children. Only 826 of them, defensive use. Now, you argue that these 826 individuals are alive today because they had their gun with them at the time. Correct? But take the gun away completely and these 24,374 incidents would never have occurred. Those sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and friends, would all be alive and unscathed.

This is not an epidemic. It’s not a storm. It’s preventable. Something has got to give! Guns are doing NOTHING for you.

Now to address your proposal: when people start killing each other with pencils, 10’s of thousands at a time, we’ll “ban the pencil”. How about that?

I can assure you, gun control isn’t scary. It works!
If you need me, I’ll be in Australia.

And in future, the word “mispelled” is spelt: “misspelled”

      • Mark Jackaman

I’m in Australia. Where police accountants are shot down in the street. Where hundreds of illegal Glock pistols are smuggle in by corrupt post office officials. Where reports of murders are daily. Gun control doesn’t work. Australia is proof. We have had no firearm massacres since 1996 but neither has New Zealand whose gun laws approach and sometimes surpass those of the United States. We have had massacres by fire and motor vehicle though. You are welcome to come and wait here but that won’t help with your wishful thinking.

        • Ronnie Safreed

Mark in the 241 year history of America, there have been some instances in which the local common folk rose up with an armed uprising to overthrow a corrupt local government & corrupt local police! The best example was in a place Athens Tennessee- August 1 & 2 1946! A corrupt government & police were in power 10-15 years & no one cared until 1946 when an election was stopped illegally & two people were shot by the police! Several hundred WW2 military vetrans/local residents & local farmers surrounded a police station & a gun battle took place in which the corrupt government/mayor & police were all arrested in masse! In 1992 a movie was made about this incident called An American Story & it is on you tube in its entirety & in part! Today in Athens on the site of the old police station there is a memorial to The Battle Of Athens Tennessee August 1 & 2 1946, with a plaque describing the battle!

        • Australia – where the overall firearm death rate is less than 10% that of the USA, the murder rate is one-fifth that of the USA, and where only one-sixth of those homicides involve firearms. Tell me again how gun control doesn’t work?

      • Pypsah, I’m an avid gun owner and have been a proud member of the NRA for over 29 years. But I have to admit the figures you cite are correct…I did my research…and your arguments are pretty compelling. Fellow NRA members…maybe we should rethink this whole thing. I love my gun but I guess I could do without it. I’m feeling kinda selfish about owning a gun just for my own fun and putting so many other people at risk.

        • Larry no one believes you’ve ever touched a gun. Not any one here, not your mom, and not any one with a brain cell.
I did my research too, by the way. You didn’t do any.
By the way, the whole terrorist watch list and buying a gun thing? That’s wrong. I did the background checks at my last job, any one who might end up on that watch list was denied outright. But they do let people like Hillary and Pelosi buy guns though, they have evident mental health issues.
And such a shame you feel the need to make another account to try and give yourself an air of legitimacy.

        • Ronnie Safreed

Larry are you familuar with an event The Battle Of Athens Tennessee August 1 & 2 1946, in which several hundred armed folk overthrew a corrupt local government & police in power 10-15 years in a gun battle? In 1992 a movie An American Story was made about it & is on you tube! Yes in the 241 year history of America guns were used to bring an end to corruption in a community!!!!!

          • Wow, one incident 70 years ago in a small town sure makes those millions of firearms deaths all worth it.

        • You never owned a gun and are not an NRA member.

      • The Japanese manage 40,000 suicides a year almost all without a single gun.

      • I’ve been a policeman over 40 years, and frankly, you are completely clueless.

  19. You cant change the mind of or win an argument with a total idiot. Larry your a total idiot

  20. I’ll read this rant later…not! Ha!

    • lol gotta love a dumb ass child who can’t face his own lack of knowledge or the bravery to admit when he’s wrong.
Thankfully most people are wiser than you.

  21. Keep dreaming and you can live in your imaginary world where guns = safety. That’s like saying candy bars = weight control, cages = freedom for animals, car exhaust = clean air, drunk driving = safe roads. All of these things obviously diametrically oppose the other.

    • I think everyone can agree you are the delusional one.

Fear of an inanimate object shows serious mental and sexual immaturity.

Especially when every scrap of evidence and every non biased study, and studies done in the hope to show the other agenda, ie gun control works, has proven you, and the side wishing to cage and strip civil rights of the people have zero interest in safety.

Gun control started and still is mostly based in racial disdain.
Melting point laws, these are in a lot of states, sold to us as something to keep ‘cheaply made junk guns’ from breaking because of safety, the writers of said laws have even spoken openly about their true intent.
To disarm the poor, and middle class.
Only reason to disarm a population, is to rule it with little fear of revolution. History has proven that.

Keeping the power with the ruling powers, exactly what our second amendment was written to stop.
it was written to keep the power of the people, with the people, not the government, not a handful of politicians, no one but the people, it has been used several times in history on our own soil to stop such abuse of power.

Please, do some actual research, get off daddy Bloomberg’s lap and read something outside your echo chamber please.

You have every right to think as you want, but you also have the responsibility to recognize when you are wrong. Like Harvard has,the CDC, the city of chicago, and the Brady campaign,to name a few, they’ve all admitted they are wrong about this topic,
its time to pony up and realise you are being childish and immature ignoring the real facts.

If you dont like the way guns are handled in the US you should consider going to somewhere with
      gun control,

England? Australia? few legally owned firearms. More violent crimes than the US, at a much worse rate. They are also packed with illegal firearms to the brim, they are smuggled in and used quite a lot. Since either has enacted gun control they’ve seen an exponential growth in violent crimes and even crimes committed with firearms.

France? You havent been watching the news it seems. They want to repeal gun control due to whats happened the last few years.

Italy? Lots of illegal firearms, and a lot of racism and violent crime. Not that hard to get a gun license any way with corruption like it is.

China? 30 seconds of the news and you’ll realise its not for you.You -have- to work, the pollution is horrible and they supported hillary, they liked her ideas of government owns everything, and can do as they please as long as they have the power.

Mexico? Coming back to gun rights, they saw first hand what gun control has done. They want the people to be able to protect themselves from criminals. Vigilantism is becoming quite the hobby.

Canada? Canada is coming back our way with gun control, bit by bit, they can even guns we cant with less trouble than we would have.
You also have to have a marketable skill, money in the bank and not be a criminal.

Czech Republic? They actually have the most similar gun control laws to us. Difference is, they actually enforce them. Resulting in a admittedly not great country, I don’t believe one could call it third world, but its not like germany or england, with less crime than either.

Do your research, dont bring your weak sauce to the table.
Not one politician who has suggested gun control actually wants it because its better for you, its better for them. Moments of thinking of the slowest minds could realise that.

Please, do some actual research, get off daddy Bloomberg’s lap and read something outside your echo chamber please.

      Thank you.

Matt have you ever heard of the Battle of Athens Tennessee August 1 & 2 1946 in which hundreds of folk fought in a gun battle to overthrow a corrupt local government & police in power there 10-15 years? In 1992 a movie was made about this incident An American Story & its on you tube! An example in the 241 year history of America of an armed rebellion to bring change after every other option failed over 10-15 years!!!!!!

    • Didn’t know the inmates could use the computers at Happy Acres Asylum…

    • Your commits are the sign of someone with little education and a whole lot of socialist indoctrinate. A gun is a tool nothing more and someone who blames this countries problem on an inanimate object is not only uneducated but is also dealing with very serious mental shortcomings.

  22. I am a college student and I have the capability to manufacture working handguns and that is something that the government cannot regulate. It would be better for it to be legal to have guns for people to defend themselves than to have criminals who can learn how to use a 3D printer and have free reign over a unarmed populous.

    • A gun is a simple tool, 3D printed guns dont typically last more than a few shots typically because the materials used most oftenly.
Building a gun for personal use is fantastically legal, it still has some laws to it, and criminals still can’t legally own one, (a firearm homebuilt or otherwise according to the feds, is treated the same, it could be a potato gun, the law still applies to it. No drug users, pot included currently, no one addicted to a controlled substance, Alcoholics included, no one whos a can not otherwise legally own a firearm, mostly violent felons, sex offenders, and some mentally unstable people who have had their info passed to the FBI,)
We could build machine a very basic bolt action rifle over the course of a six pack, but I couldnt let you touch it finished if I even had a feeling you were a criminal, else that’d make me also a criminal.

I think home gun building is a very fun and satisfying hobby, that being said.
most criminals dont have the patience for it, much easier for them to go buy a stolen gun in a back alley, almost no home made guns are used in crimes in the US anyway, a lot are even misrepresented as homemade when they are just crudely modified to a illegal version of the gun.

As for building a gun from scratch, for your own personal use and education, I suggest trying it.
Guns made around a stamped steel receiver are typically the easiest and quickest to build, AK’s, G3s, Mp5′s.

Its very satisfying and a of fun.

  23. You’re more likely to get hurt or killed by someone texting & driving then by someone with a gun

  24. totaly untrue larry ..
    guns save lives every day.
they are tools just as cars are tools and both save lives every day.

granted both get abused to give you your opinion.

. please stop making bad statements that are. just untrue.

i understand its your opinion, nothing else, and you may use your opinion to decide for you yourself .

how ever it does not make it a fact that the rest of us have to agree with.

  25. Paul Colapietro

Good morning everyone. Hello Larry. I see you love avoid me. Do you realize because of a gun/pistols etc modern weapons etc you get to enjoy your freedoms especially your freedom of speech. Thank our military and all the people that gave there lives for this wonderful Free Country. Like you said to me before the Bible thumpers and all the other whiners said there is no way Trump was going to get in. You see how that turned out. I hear a lot of you people saying he is not my president. Than leave…… ohh that right all of the people that said we where going to leave but yet you are still here. Tells me your words mean nothing except hot air. You all have to realize this is the best country to live in. But we still have whiners and is your freedom to whine and complain. It is your right too. I respect that. The Second amendment is here to stay, as is the First amendment and all of our other rights. Thank god for that.

  26. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. But thanks for pointing out that we need more gun safety laws directed at handguns too.

    • Blah blah……You truly don’t understand what you read or choose to ignore it

    • Larry, there are more laws on the books about guns than nearly anything else, enjoyed a national park? Thank gun owners. our excise taxes on just firearms pay to keep them maintained.
Guns save lives more than they cost them, suicide is the most prevalent death related to firearms, over 2/3rd. next is gangs and drugs, which the FBI, ATF, CDC and DOJ all mark on the low side of over 70% and on the high side over 90% of the remainder.
They all also agree on this as well, as a conservative call, over 2 millions lives are saved from brandishing a firearm, thats not counting the crimes they stop

More rapes are stopped by a woman packing iron than anything else.
More property kept in owners hands by a gun being brought to the table than retrieved by the police.

The most educated people in our country understand that guns are just tools, nothing more, even liberal colleges trying to prove gun control works, had to go back on their theories and have done nothing but show the opposite is true.
the states with minimal regulations have the lowest crime and the safest residents and citizens, and are often the happiest and most secure feeling.
states and cities with strict gun control, they dont feel safe, they actually have incredibley higher death rates due to violence, drugs, gangs, and crime.

And currently more people support gun rights than gun control, you’re the minority here.

Gun control and regulation is a knee jerk reactions resulting in band aid feel good laws. They’re highly ineffective and often the ones passing the laws are selling and importing illegals arms and selling to people who cant legally be near a gun. They are also often caught carrying illegally, loaded, guns on public flights, in court houses, police stations, banks.

5 minutes of research outside the echo room some people have created will show you the real statistics and the effects theyve had.
(my suggestion is start in chicago crime rates, and compare with florida, start around 40-50 years ago and work your way current, then compare against CCWP numbers and see the relation)

    • Ronnie Safreed

Larry the second admenment was to also to tell foriegn countries to think twice/three times before invading America & like during WW2 the axis powers knew American civilians were both well armed& trained to use weapons & any axis army landing would have been decimated!!!!!

  27. Yes, let’s work on all those things AND implement gun safety laws. By the way, other than by law enforcement, almost no lives are saved by firearms. Quite the opposite.

    • Larry, surely you are joking about “almost no lives are saved by firearms” comment.
You must not do any research. I have done countless hours of real research. And if you would like, I can give you numbers. But I would rather see your numbers and sources.
So if you would please post them.
I would love to get into this conversation a little deeper.

    • Larry wrong again. head in the sand to truth. Youve done zero research.

    • sheldon minsky

Get a hobby. stop playing by yourself and go back to playing with your self. The best thing to do is just to ignore you.

    • Gun safety laws is gun grabber code for gun bans. Larry’s ilk is out to get them all, one after the other, till we are stripped of a Constitutional right.

    • Bull. You are simply clueless. Two MILLION defensive uses a year, Larry. You don’t have to shoot it to use it in self defense.

  28. Here it is again

2nd Amendment….The right of the people!!!
First, you cannot purchase an assault weapon, an assault weapon has a detachable magazine and a selectable rate of fire ( pull the trigger once and it keeps firing until you let go or you run out of bullets) you cannot purchase this weapon. What they are using is a very scary looking semi- automatic rifle. You have to have a FOID card and pass a background check performed by the state of Illinois. I myself ended up waiting 2 weeks at one point because they thought I was someone else who didn’t pay their child support. I told them I didn’t think I had any children out there that I knew of and still live with and pay for ALL my children’s needs everyday. But you do have a waiting period. You do not need a Gun to take the lives of a lot of people at once ( Bath, Michigan 1927) I use that one a lot.

I’m going to share something that I’ve done some research on about 6 months ago, please don’t be offended

These are FBI numbers & rough numbers at a yearly average. 33500 total firearm deaths per year. 19000 suicide by firearm, 41000 total suicides (so most suicides don’t use a firearm) if you want to die you will find a way. So that means you have 14500 firearm deaths remaining. Law enforcement is responsible for around 1,000 per year. There are 16000 homicides per year (including justifiable) of those 16000… a gun is used 10,000 times. of those 16000 homicides, over 11,000 were committed by a felon. In which case they are not to even own a gun. 6000 homicides are committed without a firearm. It has also been proven that a citizen has a better chance of protecting themselves then waiting for the police. There is an average of 3500 fire arm deaths that include accidental (about 1000), justifiable, domestic violence( in which case I believe if your gonna kill your spouse, you’ll find a way). if there are 400,000,000 guns in the US each gun has a 0.0000825 chance of killing someone. It comes down to the person. 318,000,000 people in the US. People are way more dangerous than the gun. If someone wants you dead they will find a way to do it. 6000 homicides are done without a gun. 10000 with. If there was no gun how many would be killed anyway. The truth, probably more than half. Guns are not the problem. You will never reverse the second amendment in this country, period. How about keeping Guns out of the criminals hands…. Never. Do you know how easy it is to build a zip gun. Or use a knife or how about Bath, Michigan. (look that up) Mental issues need to be addressed and our criminal justice system. Take a look at the average time they get for killing someone. Insane. It’s Not the gun. Grow up people use your head. Ps… I don’t care about my spelling or my math. I was typing to fast. (So don’t think you are perfect because you aren’t) And my data came from the FBI. So argue with them. Another thing……How many times has a gun saved someone’s life? Mine? Yes. You will never stop every wrongful shooting.
I am a gun owner and I am also a father and grandfather and I know what our country’s children should mean to each and everyone of us. They are more important than you or I, and they and many other innocent people are dying everyday. If you lost one of your own, how would you feel? I would like to add this… Every single life is precious and is most important in any discussion, but so are present and future lives, the numbers do not make sense.
Close to 3000 shooting victims in Chicago in 2015, with one of the strictest gun control laws in the country…..
    It’s not working.

    One more thing
An assault rifle is a fully automatic selective-fire rifle that uses an intermediate cartridge and a detachable magazine
In a strict definition, a firearm must have at least the following characteristics to be considered an assault rifle:

It must be an individual weapon
It must be capable of selective fire
It must have an intermediate-power cartridge: more power than a pistol but less than a standard rifle or battle rifle
Its ammunition must be supplied from a detachable box magazine
And it should have an effective range of at least 300 metres (330 yards)
Rifles that meet most of these criteria, but not all, are technically not assault rifles, despite frequently being called such.

    For example:

Select-fire M2 Carbines are not assault rifles; their effective range is only 200 yards.
Select-fire rifles such as the FN FAL battle rifle are not assault rifles; they fire full-powered rifle cartridges.
Semi-automatic-only rifles like variants of the Colt AR-15 are not assault rifles; they do not have select-fire capabilities.
Semi-auto rifles with fixed magazines like the SKS are not assault rifles; they do not have detachable box magazines and are not capable of automatic fire.
The U.S. Army defines assault rifles as “short, compact, selective-fire weapons that fire a cartridge intermediate in power between submachine gun and rifle cartridges

The 9mm handgun kills more people in this country than any other weapon, 10 fold!

It is not the gun people! So you believe that a piece of metal is the problem?

Why do police carry them? Think about it!

So we need to get rid of doctors also?!
I mean the 43,000 total gun deaths per year pale in comparison to 250,000.
Do you realize how many lives are saved by a firearm each year? And the 43,000 includes suicides. In which case about half of suicides use a firearm. So if you want to die, you will find a way.
I’ve posted the numbers here twice. And I can do it again. The argument against guns makes no sense. Fix our judicial system!!!! Use the laws on the books. Crack down on gangs. And repair the mental health system

  30. yes. every time i read some of the supid stuff they say i wish all these ‘foriums had a way i could temperarily avoid seeing some specific persons views and all responces to them even . just to avoid there brand of iritation to see if theres other content . say click here to make this guys stuff all blue and answers to him in red .

one way to avoid the name calling comments . and endless nonsence back and forth .

  31. I agree (for once) and have shot guns on occasion. I don’t need to own one for that. Guns for hunting and recreation can be checked out on a temporary basis (like an hour inside a shooting range with metal detectors and other controls to prevent the guns from being taken out).

in an effort to smooth out assorted insults to larry (whom i am not to fond of ) this is a film i think even my pro gun guys could enjoy as well as larry enjoy so take the time to see it it has its funny moments looking at both sides i think.

    • i wont sugar coat things. davida…
Larry is a socialist idiot…and so is Rob.

They are focused on the wrong things…guns.
They should focus on criminals and their behavior.
Guns in the hands of a law abiding citizen = no problems.
Guns in the hands of criminals = lots of lawlessness.

brains in the hands of a person = a conservative constitution loving American
an empty head in the hands of a person = Larry and his idiotic leftie buddies.

  33. No, not at all necessary to make a big impact. Just guns.

  34. Lovely ignorant head-in-the-sand statement.

  35. If the constitution get’s out of date and is no longer serving the majority of this countries citizens then it is our duty to amend it. Those who don’t like a country that adjusts with the times can leave I suppose.

    • the constitution is timeless and not a living document you moron.
You are in the minority…so if you dont like the country or constitution….you may leave.

    • So are you packed yet?

    • theres the door. except you need a real amount of funds and a marketable skill to immigrate to nearly every other country, something tells me you have neither.
your lack of research on the topics you push have shown a lack of common sense and a marketable brain cell.

    • Give it a shot. You will not succeed, and keep in mind the War of our Revolution began with a British attempt at gun control: April 19th, 1775.

    • The constitution is the law. You don’t change that to fit your thinking. People are the ones who are to change to fit the law.

      • Yes it is and it can be changed. Have you heard of the Second Amendment? It is the responsibility of our law makers to do so in support of the preferences of the majority of our citizens. The vast majority of our citizens don’t want this proliferation of guns. They want to go to nightclubs, concerts and their jobs without being mowed down in a torrent of automatic rifle shots from someone who we all allowed to acquire those weapons and ammunition.

What is so hard to figure out?

        • the vast majority want less gun regulation Larry, please stop reading the propaganda and drinking the kool-aid.
You are more likely to die of a doctor that a gun, being hit by a car, or hundreds of other things than a gun.
after you cut out gangs, drugs, justified defense, you’re left with around 2000 homicides with a gun, and the high water mark, its much closer to 1500 generally.
Where have mass shootings happened predominantly? Gun free zones, or places where people were banned by the owner to carry a gun\
Most firearm homicides, 51%, happen in 5% of our counties, where are those counties? where gun regulations bar or make general legal ownership difficult at best. Not easier, not places like Texas or Montana.
Now get your head out of your backside and research on your own.

  36. The 2nd isn’t here to stay and that moron Trump isn’t my president for sure . We in California are staying but won’t recognize his policies and we will defy his dictatorship. We won with gun control on Nov 8th in California with most restrictive laws in US history and will fight against you gun nut cowards

    • lol…..hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
ummmmm YOUR president Trump will install several conservative Supreme Court justices….assuring that the 2nd amendment will be here long after you have gone the way of the dodo bird….LOL.
The rest of the country wish California would succeed…

Your gun control will be overturned by Trumps supreme court….LOL.
You would not call us cowards if we met out front you moron….Your insults dont bother us either. We are not PC like you idiot Nancy Pelosi lovers….

    • If he is not your president, you are not a US citizen. Papers please.
If you are a US citizen, of any kind, he is, by law and definition, the president.
Those gun control laws are being repealed, and my conceal carry permit will soon be valid all over the country.
He was fairly elected, dictators take power, often with military force, he was given the power by legal voting, he won the majority of the electoral college. That is the end of that.

You are the one afraid of an inanimate object, you may as well be afraid of a lamp or a toaster.

    • Ronnie Safreed

Rob, have you ever heard about the “Battle of Athens Tennessee August 1 & 2 1946″? Rob this was one time in the 241 year history of America as a nation in which hundreds of local residents in Athens/McMinn county Tennessee rose up against a corrupt local government & mayor & a corrupt police & in a heated gun battle overthrew both the government & police that had been in power 10-15 years & every means of solving the problems failed all those years! In 1992 a movie was made about the incident An American Story & the movie is on you tube! An election was stopped by the corrupt thugs & two folk voting were shot by the police before this uprising happened-FYI !!!!!!

    • Two more Trump picks on SCOTUS, and they are coming soon, then the new rulings will make DC v Heller look mild. Then Commie Cali, and the 9th Circuit WILL be RTKBA compliant.

  37. I say those two things are independent of the gun issue. You can list 10 things, 100 things, 1,000 things, 1,000,000 things and the gun issue will still be there and needs to be dealt with. And it’s so simple.

  38. Those activities are essential practicing to kill. I have no interest in having a gun. I have interest in restricting gun ownership and use by you and others for the betterment of society as a whole.

  39. Exactly. Guns are the only thing on you raise that has no other purpose. Let’s just eliminate them.

  40. do not forget doctor errors , goofs ,mistakes , omissions and use of dangerious drugs (ie long term found side effects after use )

  41. Most if not all ‘mass shootings’ in the US were ended by a good guy with a gun.
ALL ‘mass shootings’ in the US were in gun free zones. You dont see any mass shootings in places where guns are allowed.
Most ‘mass shootings’ are committed by liberals.

    those are the facts

  42. Here are the problems with all laws on the books concerning gun control….

    1. They are all unconstitutional. No where in the second amendment does it say anything about type of gun, registration…etc. All laws in conflict with the constitution are null and void.
    2. The definition of criminal: One that does NOT follow the laws that non-criminals follow. Therefore, criminals dont follow gun laws. Therefore, its criminals that are doing the bad things with guns…not law abiding citizens….

Do you liberal anti gunners see where im going with this….if not, let me know and ill get you some colors so you can follow along.

    • Here’s some COLOUR for you, James…
Let me ask you a question: How do you distinguish between criminals and law abiding citizens if the majority refuse to undergo a background check prior to purchase? The answer is, you can’t. No gun control = No criminal control.

      • If they are too dangerous to have a gun, why do YOU let them out where they might get one? My partner was shot in the head by a parolled felon with a STOLEN gun: he was paroled from a prior murder. Slowflakes, like you, let that scum out where he could kill again. It’s not the guns, it’s the people and liberals refusal to deal with the real problem.

  43. for all you anti gun idiots…especially the ones that try to compare other countries to the USA…if you like how their anti gun culture is set up….why not go and stay there? If its so much better…why bother us.

To get rid of guns here in the USA…you just gotta overcome that one little piece of paper….the good old constitution.

  44. Knives are designed to slice things we want to eat and that is almost exclusively what they are used for. Guns re designed to kill and that is all they are used for.

    • Knives were originally designed for self defense you idiot….just like guns.

Do some research. Then compare and contrast the numbers.

      1. How many people all total are killed in the USA each year by guns?
      2. How many people all total are killed in the USA each year by cars?
      3. How many people all total are killed in the USA each year by tobacco?
      4. How many people all total are killed in the USA each year by drugs/alcohol?

Now then genius…explain to me why you are so hot after making guns go away…if its only in the interest of saving lives.

    • and one more point to totally blow your theory out of the water….

First to quote you…”Guns re designed to kill and that is all they are used for.”

Let me clue you on something you are absolutely ignorant about. More bullets are shot each year to kill a paper target/empty pop or beer can than for all other uses combined.

Sooooo…that is NOT all they are used for…(to kill).

If you dont like guns…dont have one. Its that simple. Dont come whining to me when someone is holding you up or raping your daughter though…cause you dont like guns so we wont come take care of your problems for you.

    • your camel jockey ‘immigrant’ in Ohio used his knife to slice people….
the camel jockey in Nice France used his truck to run over people…

      what say you?

    • let me guess…youre also for or against the following:

      1. FOR Open borders.
      2. AGAINST voter ID
      3. FOR Sanctuary Cities
      4. FOR Abortion
      5. FOR saving our planet from us dirty terrible humans
      6. FOR free college for everyone. The government has lots of money.
      7. FOR minimum wage for everyone. Burger flippers should get more.
      8. AGAINST entrepreneurs getting rich.
      9. FOR Democrats.
      10. AGAINST law abiding constitution following conservatives

      • “Constitution following conservative”…. I’ve never seen one of those. Kinda like a unicorn or a leprechaun.

    • Really? None of my personal collection have killed anything other than paper. Knives kill more people than your so called assault weapons. Seems your value system is as screwed up as your logic.

  45. it would seem that the 2nd ammendment will be upheld…at least for the next few generations now.
Trump will appoint the next several Supreme Court picks…

    elections have consequences.
    BOYCOTT the liberal actors…and organizations.

  46. You are so lost in your gun hugging desires that you have completely lost perspective of reality.

  47. Ha! Cute little answer. I suppose grenades are designed to deliver small pieces of metal to your friends and tanks are designed to provide comfortable transportation and guillotines were designed to thinly slice meat and flame throwers are designed to deliver heat and make a bright light for all to enjoy.

I think we all know what these five devices were designed to do.

    • Like many who anthropomorphise, as Disney taught them, you attribute volition to inanimate objects. A car is designed to provide transport. Sometimes they bring death. It is the actions of the operator that cause either positive or negative outcomes. Now you will play the silly “need” card. No-one needs guns. OK, non-one needs backyard swimming pools and they kill large numbers of children. They are designed for recreation and are misused by some. You need to accept that people need to take responsibility for their actions. People are the shakers and the movers. Address people and and their will be improvements in society. Like alcohol, there is a “no harm’ dose of firearms. They are not nicotine.

Flame throwers are used to clear scrub in Canada. They are now illegal in terms of combat use in most countries. Most guillotines are used to cut sheet metal. You really need to keep up with events rather than stroking your pet opinions.

New Zealand and Canada rationally regulate firearms. It didn’t come to pass by people like you venting silly ideas.

  48. What exactly do you think guns are designed to do if not kill?

    • Firearms are designed to accurately deliver projectiles. Everything else is in the control of the operator.

    • Hmm, a tough question but i’ll try. “How about them being designed for NOT being killed” !

    • Larry…what are knives designed to do? I want your version of the original knives…the beginning of mankind coming out of the dark…what was a knife used for then…or a sharp object like a spear or blade…
      Ill wait right over here….

    • Protect. plain and simple. They are a tool.

  49. Do you not understand that movies are fiction? If the actors actually shot people with guns they would be hypocrites. Playing a terrestrial being on Mars does not make an actor a Martian.
