We confirmed with them that their statement about following the regulations means that they allow open/concealed carry wherever it is legal.  If you see a “no guns” sign in a place where carry is legal you should call Tractor Supply and report it.  1-877-718-6750

They do prohibit employees from carrying or even leaving their firearms locked in their vehicles, which is unfortunate.  For this reason, their rating is reduced to a “B.”

We believe they are mostly supportive of our rights and deserve our support.  We wish they would reconsider employee rights, at least in their own vehicles.

  1. Kentucky state law permits employees to have a weapon in their vehicle in the parking lot.

  2. In regards to the B rating, I did work there many years ago and I always had my 1911 in my center console. It does state team members are prohibited UNLESS specifically permitted in accordance with state law. I take that to mean a CHL.

  3. Also one more thing you can call the cops on them and just feel like an idiont when they talk to them for a few min and say have a nice day and and leave, while he continues shopping in your store. Even though he should take his money else where.

  4. Well Rufurd , Criminals do not open carry unless its in their hand waiving it around robbing places and people. If you see someone open carrying a gun in a holster there one of 3 things, a law enforcement officer, a Permit carrier that decided to open carry that day, or a legal Law abiding citizen in an legal open carry state. looking suspicious is not the same as acting suspicious either way you will go to prison lol. Until a criminal act is preformed there is no justification for “shooting” them. The only time there is justification is if you or someone else is in physical danger. which unfortunately not dressing or looking they way you like does not qualify.

  5. How do I tell if someone comes into the store, open carrying and they look suspicious? Should I shoot them?
